Welcome to the "BER" months!!!

I am still crocheting, shaking the vanilla and getting the supplies lined up for the 12 Days of Christmas Swap. I do think I have all of the one and need to try the sewing one to see if it works (or if I can do!).

What are your plans for the week????

Happy Happy Crafting!!!

I have made a pair of fingerless gloves (very easy pattern) and am making a beanie to match.

Finishing up decorating for fall then will get the rug patterns taped together so I can start them.
Making a shopping list for my trip to Shilo on the 17th. The fabric shop is having their big fall tent sale. I need quilt backings among other things.

My Bitmoji only had knitting ... not crocheting but it's cute!!

I'm still crocheting on DD's cardigan. I have made the rectangle, folded it over, and have sewn up the shoulder so now there are arm hole openings. I have started a few rows on one sleeve!! :)

I'll be changing out the mantle for fall and maybe doing some fall crafting. Yesterday I I made a floral display for the front stoop.

Also going to check knitting and crocheting and see what has to be done.

Greetings!

I made Christmas ornaments for Julia and Valentin last week so that DD could take them home with her and give to them at Christmas. Now to get more made for Iris and Sonja which I will mail.

I also need to get the last row of Shirley's quilt quilted and finish the quilt up. I won't get to that this week, though. Maybe next week.

I made a blanket last night from pastels-granny block pattern. I love the colors together (6 different) but have the ends to weave in now. (yuck!) Put the scallop edge on it.

MissBrittany ~ The gifts I sent back with the German family I "wrapped" in fabric gift bags that I sewed up. Didn't need to worry about paper wrinkling or tearing, and the gifts were easily stuffable into their luggage.

I worked on grandchildren's ornaments today. Hope to finish them this week.

Lana, wish you lived closer, it would be a fun trip!
Working on my turkey rug, cutting out the appliqué pieces today. Have the heat and bond for the Santa rug cut out.
I wish so too! Would be fun to have a sewing friend!!!

Yes, it really is fun to have crafting friends to meet up with for show-and-tell and to have crafting excursions with! I meet with a group of sewing women every Thursday. It's a bit of a drive, but Kathy and I carpool. Kathy and I live closer together, so we often go to a local quilt shop for their Open Sew, taking our projects there to work on together. And, of course, we do a fair amount of shopping together. If not that, we also like to get together at one of our homes for S&B. I met Kathy at a free craft presentation. I sat down beside her and while we were waiting for the presentation to begin, I asked her what kind of crafting she liked to do. That was the spark that led to a great friendship! There's a church knitting group that I've been invited to but haven't gone yet. It's once a month on a Saturday.

People who love to craft... so good to be back.

I am going to finish up a few cards this week so they are ready to send. I want to figure out my fabric for the mug rugs for Christmas. If I find a few minutes in the evenings, I want to sort out my craft trunk... I got new storage containers for all the little fiddy things.

I called the quilt shop today. No answer. I've decided maybe that's a sign I shouldn't do it.
