Crafters Challenge December 12th---December 18th, 2021

Good Evening!!!!

Wonder if Lucie will remember us all when she is famous!?! You do nice work. Maybe the MHH bus will come to your showing!

I got my bottles for vanilla and containers for lotion.

Will go work on some crafts after posting this. Simple things to finish up,

I need to:

bottle vanilla

make seasoning salt

make lotion

finish the light ornaments (put sayings on)

finish the gnomes

do a few more tile ornaments

put glitter in reindeer feed and sayings on

Teigan wants to finish helping with some so will do when she comes.

Anybody else finishing up for this year or are you on into next years or stuff for yourself?

Lana ~ So glad to see someone else with a list!

I need to finish the monster trucks quilt, finish knitting the socks, and hopefully get to work on some hair bows for Julia. If I don't get to the hair bows, perhaps they could wait for Valentine's Day or her birthday at the end of February. I also need to organize the gifts to take with us on the plane to NE and figure out what boxes/wrapping, etc. I can pack up to take. Sometimes we will flatten boxes to fit into the suitcase.

Finished piecing together the quilt backing. I wanted to get this quilt sandwiched today but I’m done. I’ll work on that tomorrow.

Working on a ornament for my friend’s baby. Fabric is cut and I’ve started putting it together. Will try and work on it this evening. I think I’ve figured out what I’m doing with it.

today I do want to try to paint a candyland painting with a jesse robertson free tutorial.

Next week I think I will start on a crochet cowl.

The monster quilt is coming right along. I hope I don't have any "issues" with the free motion quilting today. Sewing machines seem to be so temperamental! Socks are progressing, too.

I am in awe of you who wrote a list at the beginning of the year and have stuck with it. I am calling crating 2021 a bust for me. I am hoping to get back to it big time next year. If nothing else I need cull a fair bit of stuff before we move in the next 18 months or so.

Last night Allen and I wrapped the candy bars that Teigan will give to her classmates and I painted the faces on. Hats (gloves) just need to be put on and tied.

Quilt is sandwiched I might start quilting tomorrow.
Finished the ornament for my friends baby. I went through 4 different ideas yesterday before finally deciding what I was doing. Not sure if angels and dinosaurs go together but that’s what I did. The dinosaurs and the tie for the hanger are from the baby shower. It’s wrapped and will be delivered later in the week.

DH decided just this morning that we should send out Christmas cards! LOL So we're going into Christmas card production. We took a picture of our fireplace; DH will get prints made today and we will attach them to a few cards. Nothing like a guy to decide to do something at Christmastime at the last minute!

I finished the quilt except for the label. For some reason the label is not cooperating when I try to stitch it out on the embroidery machine. Socks are all but done.

Lana ~ Looks like you're all done! Fabulous!

I still need to do the quilt label, but socks are finished. So today ... quilt label and hair bows for Julia. I've started knitting a scarf for myself (found new yarn), but I'm going to try something different with it and may end up frogging and starting over. I've also got a small start on Christmas cards for 2022.
