MERRY CHRISTMAS FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I completed all the sewing that I wanted to for 2019 Christmas! As you all know by now---I do better at the last.

I would like to take my machine in and get it cleaned but will see. That is about an hour away.

I should be thinking of items to make for 2020! Have some ideals.

I hope you all have a GREAT Christmas and take time to enjoy friends, family or just yourself!

God's Blessings to ALL!

Greetings!

I have some things I'd like to do today ...
  • Make prototype German Bell ornament (I might want to make some with Iris)
  • Machine embroidery on t-shirt for DSonIL (if DH can find a plain one at Walmart this morning)
  • Bind off socks
  • Start (or at least decide on) new knit project to take on trip (something small … hat or scarf?)

I figured out all my fabric needs for my gift quilts I’m going to make. The day after Christmas I’ll run to shilo to start looking for fabrics since they will have Christmas fabric on sale. I may start cleaning my sewing room towards the end of the week.
Merry Christmas everyone.

Myron’s mom thanks for the reminder about the Christmas fabric being on sale. I need to grab some to make bags for the grandchildren ornaments for next Christmas. Fabricland usually have their flannel on sale after Christmas so I should double check how much I need for youngest DGS pj’s and add a little more yardage to cover any shooting up he does during the year.
Will have to make sure I go first thing Thursday morning before it gets to busy. Although more stores are starting to be open on Boxing Day here they still stay close which is fine with me.

Boxing Day sales here are still the biggest of the year.

Boxing Day sales here are still the biggest of the year.

They aren’t as big as they used to be here and the sales used to start on the 27th. The big deals now seem to be on the Friday after the US Thanksgiving. They found that a lot of people were going across the border some by the bus load to the US for their Black Friday sales. So they started having them here to try and keep the customers and their money here.

I think Black Friday sales are fading here. It is no longer just on the Friday after Thanksgiving but weeks before sales. Our stores were not even busy.

Black Friday sales are starting here over the last few years which is strange as we do not celebrate Thanksgiving. The shops will do anything to make a dollar.

I have never ventured out on Black Friday. There is nothing I need THAT badly. LOL

All Christmas gifts have been given out. Mum loved her appliqued tea towels and the covered notebook that I made for her. I am glad that I made them for her.
Will have to give thought to what I can make here for next year.

Myrons Mom, I just saved that on FB before coming here!!!

How funny!!!
Instead of my regular after Christmas shopping I ran down to Shilo, the quilt shop was having a sale. I found a few fabrics for the quilts I want to make for next Christmas. Next week Zincks in Berlin is having a big sale. They are a big fabric outlet place in Amish country and carry name brand fabric. Between them and the other quilt shops there, I should get everything I need.
In the mean time I’m making a list of unfinished projects and how I want to finish re organizing my sewing room. I’ll start picking away at all that tomorrow.

Merry Christmas all!!!! :D

I pulled a bit of a rabbit out of my hat on Christmas Eve day - decided at the last minute to make a Recipe Binder for a dear friend.

Used Cricut and adhesive vinyl to decorate the binder - then tabbed dividers and Cricut and misc. doo dads I had on hand to finish it off. Printed recipes and put in clear plastic page protectors. Then found some fun cooking info graphics online to include as well. Took some pretty colored index cards and use stamps, gems or washi tape to decorate each one and attached to inside of binder with pretty clothespin. Printed some Anne Taintor funnies and taped to back of each divider tab. Finally, grabbed some small cook booklets (Gooseberry patch) that I was given a while ago to slip into the binder pockets.

I can't WAIT for her to open it!
