WHAT!!! 5 months! I better get moving on things here. I have been a little off track the last week or so, still crafting but not stuff on my to do list. I need to get back to Christmas crafting or I will be way behind.

I am reevaluating my daily timeline. The weather has been so nice that I seem to spend too much time in the afternoons reading and/or snoozing in my hammock chair (or just swinging). I'm going to try to get out in the garden earlier, while it's cool, to do some gardening for about an hour. Then do my PT, and then spend some time in the studio crafting. We'll see how that resolve goes ... I won't get to try it out for a few days though. We're at the lake until Wednesday; then Thursday, I'll probably have a play date with Kathy; then Friday I have PT in the morning ... always something interfering with my "plan". LOL

I'd like to get some pet beds (made with fabric scraps) made up which will do a great deal to free up floor space in the studio where the bags of scraps are taking up residence. Then I'd like to get the August pillowcase fabrics pressed and cut to size. I'll also be working on a CCS motif for an August anniversary card and move on to other CCS projects (birth record and/or Christmas ornaments).

Yikes!!! I need to get busy too! I wanted to spray baste quilts outside. It’s been 90+ here, I don’t want to be dripping sweat on my quilts lol. I might try this after noon if it’s not horrible out.

The purse set is all finished for our friend except for afew little touches. I just need to do some shopping later this week in Amish country.

I spent yesterday making a few masks with the omni grid mask pattern I bought in shilo. I bought it on a whim because my friend was talking about it. The grid has 3 sizes which is nice. Nice way again to use up scraps. I thought my husband would need the large, he is a big guy and a pretty big head. But it’s pretty big for him. I made a few adjustments on mine so it fit comfortably. Was wanting to make as gifts but I’m concerned since I don’t have the actual head here to adjust for fit. I made 2 to take to my friends next week, I’ll have to see how they fit then. I thought season themed masks might be fun.

5 months! Time is flying!!! This week's challenge includes Rudolph Day which should be fun!

I've gotten another wave of progress done...

Added vinyl designs to notebook and pencil pouch for friend's little girl (Sept birthday):

Ironed on vinyl to canvas bag for DMIL:

https://flic.kr/p/2jo8gqG
Went back and carefully peeled up vinyl I did on first recipe binder cover and replaced with new (found out she is divorcing so I didn't think her soon to be former first name would be good to use in the cover design  ):

https://flic.kr/p/2jo5pxB
Ironed on vinyl to another set of 2 potholders:

https://flic.kr/p/2jo8gxk
Added vinyl embellishments to inside covers of Christmas Planner:

Also made a funny wedding card but realized this morning I made a small mistake so have to correct that before taking another pic!

I am 90% done with the 3 Mrs. Claus ornaments I've been working on. Just need to sew on hoods and paint the faces.

I traced and cut out pieces for 2 more of her - this time in colors of blue for one and green for the other.

Will focus on those this week - I would also like to etch the last two glasses that have been sitting on my counter waiting on me!

AJ ~ Nice work, as usual! How does the vinyl hold up on potholders?

I probably should add some lefsé cozy's to my craft list. We will have a lefsé baking party with DH's family at the end of August, and they would be nice to have as little gifts to leave with folks.

Finished the teabag holder! Cut out another mask for me. Picked out the color of the vinyl pet mesh for the market tote I’m making for my husband’s friend. We were doing a movie basket but I’ll make him a tote using leftover Marshall fabric instead of getting a basket. Will still leave me fabric for a fidget quilt for him when the time comes.

I am still knitting and alternating with some felt work, both easy to pick up when I have a few moments.
Hope to get a few more things done over the next week or so.

Quilt top done. The hat I started last week is finished and another started. New tree skirt sewn together and ready to be layered. Christmas wall quilt partly taken apart as I want to redo it. Keeping the blocks but want to replace fabric around them.
The Christmas countdown calendars I’m doing for thee grandchildren are painted. Blocks covered in paper and the numbers are cut out.

Rose ~ You are making such great progress.

Kathy and I went through some donated CCS fabrics and charts today and kept a few things that we liked. Everyone has such different tastes.

We did a little stitching, too, and I finished a motif for an anniversary card. I hope to get the card made tomorrow. I also did some knitting around the campfire this evening and got half a wash cloth stitched. It is in colors that I have at the lake.

Cut the fabric and trimmed up the pet mesh for the gift bag/ tote. Meeting friends for breakfast Monday and will be close to Joann’s so I’ll get the strapping then.
Cleaned up the sewing room. Cut the fabric for the quilts outer borders. I’m storing them in sandwich bags until I’m ready. Maybe they won’t get so thready that way. And I ironed the backing for one quilt. Maybe I can get one sandwich tomorrow.
I also ordered some more supplies for the ornaments I’m making for next year.
Another week gone already!!
