Hello!!!!

Glad to see Carrie back with us on the thread!

We are still working on rooms and decluttering so I didn't really craft this past week. And not sure I will this week.

As always LOVE hearing and seeing what you are all doing!!!!

What are your plans for crafting this weeK?

Happy Happy Crafting!!!!

Greetings!

Thanks, Lana, for starting us up. Good luck with your decluttering! My decluttering this week will be in the craft studio, so that is sort of crafting for me.

I'm anxious to see the vinyl samples I ordered and try them out for a fox keychain. I may also try some machine embroidery ornaments for Julia and Valentin.

I picked up on of my UFOs. It's a big project so will attempt to do a little everyday. It would be nice to have it done by Christmas but not sure how realistic that goal is.....

I will be hopefully finishing DD32's dragonfly wrap for Christmas. I'm not sure what is next ... I was thinking my friend (and DS20's life coach) might also like that dragonfly wrap for Christmas/Hanukkah.

Finished the last quilt this morning. They are washed and ready to be wrapped. So glad they are done. The rest of the week I’ll do some mending and start quilting the window seat pad and another quilt top.
My sewing room is a disaster so there is cleaning in my future.

Amelia ~ Fabulous quilts! Where do you get the quilting designs? I'm assuming they are machine embroidery. And with that assumption, what size hoop do you use?

I use Amelie Scott, Embroidery library and JuJu designs, with a 9.5 x 14 hoop. It goes pretty quick once you get the hang of it.
I really want a long arm but the baby lock one I want was 23k (which I don’t have to spend) and I don’t have the room for it.

Greetings!

Amelia ~ I'm liking using my embroidery machine for quilting, too. My largest hoop is only 5x7, but I've been able to split designs on a repositional hoop. It takes a while with lots of moving the quilt around. I also quilt row-by row and use a QAYG technique to join the rows. I don't have funds or room for a long arm either, but I'm not sure I'd get one if I did.
