Crafters Challenge June 13th---19th, 2021

Here we are at another week down!

I hear that some Hobby Lobbies are putting their Christmas out. I went for flannel on Friday night and ours just had alittle greenery. Needed some flannel for the burp rags and washcloths a girl wants me to make. Had like 7 bolts in cart (and a vintage Santa cotton--Christmas fabric was out) and the sales lady told me that on Monday fabric goes on sale for the 30% off so will go back then.

Hoping to sew on them after I get the fabric.

This week plans is to finish the second dress and to get going on a shawl that I put on a time out a few months ago.

All my creativity is going towards getting my house company ready, so cleaning and a little decorating. Our youngest turns eight on Saturday and were having folks over for supper. Other than that, knitting on throws and making things for our daughters' big girl room makeover. One is crazy for horses, one is crazy for ducks and I'm crazy about a room they keep tidy so lots of organizing in there.

It was so nice of the lady to let you know on the fabric.

Finished the wallets, crossbody straps and wristlet straps. They need a good pressing yet and some threads trimmed. Trying to decided what purse pattern to use.
I ordered the 2 diaper bag patterns I’ve been looking at along with a diaper clutch pattern.
And some how I have lost the cap to my bottle of fray check. Thank goodness it’s almost empty. I put plastic it over the tip. I’ll look again tomorrow when my back is happy.

Myron’s mom. Nice wallets

some stores are now open so I have been able to get buttons needed for the dress I’m making. Also some needed thread needed. Also grabbed some needed card stock.
picked up some yarn to make another hat for Christmas. Oldest two grandsons no longer want me making them pj’s so I figured I would make them hats so they will get something handmade.

I FINALLY did something!!!!!

Cut and sewed 7 burp rags and 7 wash cloths today all from flannel. Felt good to be at the sewing machine. Also finished the last part for CIJ swap on something.

Myron'sMom ~ Those wallets are so professional looking! Oh my! All those zippers! LOL

I want to get the embellished Gap bags finished and in the mail this week. That's my primary goal. We'll see if anything else gets accomplished.

LOL ... I thought I posted this earlier. I'm finding it hard to focus on the Gap bags (only need to finish Valentin's) and got sidetracked with a couple of quilt BOMs and embellishing a knit shift for mysself. Need to make a better effort today!

Need to do a bit more for the wedding, we bought plant saucers yesterday that DD would like me to paint in pastel colours. We will use them as candle holders. Not sure how I will paint them as they have a gloss to them. Will give it a go.

The plant saucers turned out ok. I will let them dry and then a coat of varnish to seal. See my growing pile of bunting?
