Crafter's Challenge March 5th---March 11th, 2023

Hello!

Well, my new sewing machine is home.....not sure when I will be able to get it out and play with it. I got some thread and such for 20% off since I was picking my machine up. She said anytime I come for a class I would get 20% off of thread and sewing items. Not fabric tho! She said it will take a few classes to learn it.

What are your plans for the week?

I will work on CIJ ornaments this week. Pulled out some of the supplies yesterday. Will get the rest out and begin.

Will be mainly paper crafting this week with a little crocheting and knitting.

Lucie ~ I'd love to see your child's face drawing! Are the classes on-line or do you go out to take them? One of my Stitched Together friends is taking some art classes on-line through Michaels.

I won't have much time for crafting this week except for some knitting in the car and CCS in the evenings if I have the energy. We are moving back into our kitchen after having some work done, so it's like playing kitchen Tetris. Also, we are leaving Friday to visit DD#2 and family in Nebraska, so need to leave the house clean and tidy if we can. Craft-wise, that should involve some Craftermath Control, too.

DD - I took the free class online, it was about 45 minutes. This week I have a free watercolor class per day (about 20 minutes).

Birthday cards are done as is the shawl for the doll although the pattern calls it a poncho. It’s smaller than it should be as I ran out of the yarn. DGD does have other dolls so I’m sure it will fit one of them. Thinking I should check a dollar store to see if they have any little hair clips that I can sew/glue a flower onto to give the shawl a little fastener to hold the front close. I have the flower.

My friend asked if I would crochet her some fingerless mitts and a beanie. She wants to send to her 1/2 sister in Ohio who is going through cancer treatment. She wanted purple and cream. The mitts are done. I am half way done with the beanie.

I will be delivering this set to my friend today for her to send to her sister.

Have done 5 days of 20-min. watercolor free youtube tutorial.. not working out for me... I don't think the instructor is a good match for me... can't follow what she does. ah well, got an abstract acrylic youtube one coming soon, with someone else so will try that out.

Looks and sounds like everyone has been busy. Me, a big fat zero this week. Looking forward to a week when I don’t have to be somewhere pretty much every day.

Hat done. Just need to decide if I’m going to add a Pom Pom.
adult Easter cards are done. Not sure if I will do kid cards or just decorate a tag for the treat box’s.
