Another busy week here, hoping to get some more bunting done. I am about 1/2 way through.

Finishing husbands quilt this week. Quilted the center of yesterday and it looks nice. Quilting the borders should go quick and my binding is already to go on it.
Had planned to start purse and wallet gifts. We are going to husband college reunion in June so I might make 2 long skirts for that. I have plenty of fabric in my stash for them lol.

I’m coloring this morning. Yesterday, I made a paw print beanie with a hole in the top for a messy bun or ponytail. I don’t have any doll hair to show that feature.

Nice work jampss.

Myron'smom ~ Looking forward to seeing the quilt. It sounds like you'll be done in no time.

Lana ~ Any crafting plans for you yet?

I'm in Nebraska for a long overdue tease-and-squeeze with grandchildren! I'm starting on a knit sweater for Julia. Hope to find some time for a little cross stitch and would like to finish some owls that I made years ago into a wall hanging or mobile for Valentin's room. DD hasn't had time to do it.

Helloooooooo crafting friends! I kind of fell into a black hole the last few months but have been thinking about you guys!!!

And I have DEFINITELY been crafting!!! Lots of card making mostly - I found a blog and spiraled back into the world of stamping - ended up getting a gel press and just generally worked hard to not to spend a ridiculous amount of money on new crafty toys - with mixed success

Finally feeling a bit more energized and ready to start knuckling down on Christmas gifts I want to craft this year. Normally way further than this by this point in the year - but it's been a weird year - or two...ahem...

I'm in the home stretch of making a slew of thank you cards for all the teachers and staff at DS's grade school - his last year there is just about done. Have graduation cards to make as well.

And then I plan to jump into this year's batch of felt ornaments. Have 4 kits waiting for me - all ready to start sewing - just need to DO it! I'm having fun browsing Etsy for more patterns to buy - already found two I'm loving!

Happy Tuesday!!!

Well it’s done! It was a battle till the very end lol. I’m not all that happy with my binding. I still make take it off and re sew it. But for now it’s all washed and in the dryer, soon to be headed to the gift closet.

The chenille appliqué was from a bed spread that my husband had as a boy (husband will be 70 this fall). I found the bedspread when we were cleaning out his moms house after she died in 1999. I’ve been moving that thing around since and I’m glad I finally did something with it.

Thanks guys!
Did some “stash shopping” for my skirts and found some things I forgot about! Fabric is all washed, just needs ironed. I think I’ll have just enough elastic in my stash for the waist bands. Traced out and lengthen a circle skirt pattern this morning. I’ll do a practice run on just the waist and hips just to make sure I’m happy with the fit. Can’t wait to start sewing.
