Will finish up the last machine cover tomorrow(?). Then will finish the purses that I now have all the hardware.
my shopping trip was some what of a success. I didn’t find any fabric for my son’s quilt though. I have 3 shops reasonably close by I’ll check. Husband said we should run down to Shilo to the shop (translation: there’s a gun shop down there too). So maybe this week.

Another week. Aren't they just flying by?
I am off to Canberra for a few days so will pack some knitting. I have some more yarn that was donated to the library and will use that up over the next few weeks.
Still have a lot on my list to get to.....there is still time yet!

I have been looking for wardrobe scented sachets for DS and cannot find any that have a masculine smell. I have ordered some muslin drawstring bags and will stuff them and spray them with a room air freshener in a sandalwood and cedar fragrance. I am just pondering though what would be the best thing to stuff the bags with?
How would you do these?

I would use essential oils instead of air freshener. I use the oils on my wool dryer balls, the scent lasts a decent amount of time. I’ve seen them at craft fairs using rice but not sure if that would be best. I’m sure there are directions online, just have to wade through what works best.

Could you use the oils on cotton balls and stuff the sachets?

I did not think of this, I was thinking if the air freshener so that he could re spray them. What essential oil scent do you think would be best?
I can buy the oil use it and then give it to him in the parcel.

Yes, a good idea! Will look for cotton wool.
Do you think stuffing that you use for toys etc would also work?

This is the crocheted blanket I made using donated yarn from the library which I will donate today. A bit bigger than a lap blanket. Hopefully will keep someone warm over winter

Does he have a favorite cologne? You could use one of the scents from that. Otherwise cedar, pine, citrus, sandalwood, patchouli or lavender are what I would pick for my son.
I would try to use a natural stuffing, no synthetic. Some times oils can degrade synthetic items.
Pretty blanket, I like the colors. That will keep someone warm and provide comfort.

Thank you for this suggestion. I do know his favourite scent so will think about using that.

Finished finally! Had plenty of fabric for the matching scarf. Looks like I have enough left to make a Rivera bag. The fabric is from a maxi skirt and vest mom made for me in high school. I’m thinking I was a junior (1974). I still have that outfit.
Need to spend the next couple of days cleaning, put the remaining Easter decorations away, decorate for summer and tackle some ironing.

Jaymee would love that set in red/black. Her favorite colors! Really a great job, Amelia.
