I was a little behind again in 2023 but did complete quite a few crafts. Not as many as in previous years but not bad.
I am confident that I will get a few things done this year, the intention is there.
I really need to look at all of my craft supplies with fresh eyes and see if things still interest me.

*Crochet edge on towel and face washer for Mother's Day (X)(X)
*'L' for on DS's GF Christmas stocking ( )
*Small quilt using leftover bunting from DD wedding (X)
*Bees wax wraps for DD ( ) DD would like to help with this.
*Finish kids memory books (X)
*Texas BBQ Rub ( )
*Make up remover scrubbies for DD ( ) Wait until the end of the year and decide
*Lip scrub for DD ( ) Wait until the end of the year and decide
*Sugar wax for DD ( ) Wait until the end of the year and decide
*Look for any UFO's, I am, sure that there are a few ( )
*Paint cans for gifts ( )
*Major declutter of craft room ahead of move to the farm.

Greetings!

Nice list, Katrina.

I have a very long list of UFOs from years past. I'm gradually nibbling away at them. Even without the UFOs, I'm always so busy trying to make something for family and special friends for holidays and birthdays. I have two different ideas for Christmas cards that I need to decide on.

DD has mentioned that she would like to make some bees wax food wraps. Will need to look into that.

Crafting for me will be decluttering crafting projects that I have not gotten to and probably will not.

I need to get to this too. There will be limited room at the farm for things so anything I am not going to do will be donated.

I’m in need of of a massive cleaning, sorting and pitching day.

My crafting list for now:

Make all the holiday cards
Finish quilt currently in the works
Make the quilt for our friends (Christmas gift)
Make the rug kits (Christmas gifts)
Finish cat paper piecing quilt
Make the purse/ wallet that is already cut out
Make all the ornament girl kits that have accumulated
Decide if I’m making any other gifts for 2024 and get them made by September.
Make the Christmas tablecloth, fabric is sitting on my cutting table

That’s my list for now! Guess I need to get busy.

I need to clean out my crochet bag and only keep in-work projects in there. Too many half-balls of leftover yarn are accumulating in there.

This is what I will be working on this year too.
I’m in need of of a massive cleaning, sorting and pitching day.
I think I will do that in October. I'll give myself until then to work on the current projects that were never begun but I bought the supplies.
I think it is wise to have a cut off date.
I have found cut off dates to free me of unspoken burdens I place on myself.

My new mantra - I am not going to buy anymore supplies or start any new projects until I finish the ones that I have currently going. I am not going to buy anymore supplies or start any new projects until I finish the ones that I have currently going. I am not going to buy anymore supplies or start any new projects until I finish the ones that I have currently going. :D LOL!

Mary, good on you. I have more crafting supplies than time to use them. I too need to follow your mantra.

There has to be a bit of wriggle room hey?

Years ago I bought stockings for DS and DDs. Since then, I've made a stocking for each added immediate family member. Every year I say I'm going to make them a stocking to replace the store bought one. It takes less then an hour for each one. This should be a goal for this year.

MissJane, I appliqued stocking shapes on our tree skirt with name and date of birth. I added DSIL a few years back. I think when I have grandbabies I will applique stars for each of them.

In 2024, I'd like to complete the projects that are currently sitting in the craft area or on my computer:
  • Make Christmas pillows.
  • Decorate coffee tins and oatmeal boxes for gift giving.
  • Decorate glass jars and lids for gift giving.
  • Use ribbon and brown/white paper bags for gift giving.
  • Make gift tags.
  • Answer weekly family history questions starting with myself. I've asked my parents if they would be interested too. I'm waiting to hear back.

  • T-shirt Quilt for my Granddaughter
  • Quilt for my Friend

Perhaps you could make some gift tags?
