About to pack all the Canberra Christmas presents. Will give me space in my spare room until I bring home my Christmas gifts from Canberra lol
When I go to work tomorrow I will take:
one of the pop up storage bins filled with the baby items I sewed, lotion, shampoo, wipes and a pack of the zipper bags (thought to put the small soxs and such in for washing). For co-worker's daughter.
3 Wal-Mart sacks of clothes that are filled with clothes to small for Teigan to a co-worker for her 2 nieces.
A gift card to co-worker to a Mexican place that she likes. She gave us permission to hunt on her land. Connects with ours.
The above 3 things to same co-worker.
The scrunchies I crocheted for another co-worker
And papers that had to be filled out by year end to give to the manager. For our annual evaluation.
Threw some underwear and socks out.
Some papers from the table into trash.

1 pair of slippers of dh (FINALLY, they had holes in the soles)

1 beautiful handmade rocking horse given to dniece.. it was hers, dad had bought it for her so giving it back now the grandkids are too big

A yoga/exercise mat went in the trash. It had seen better days.....
I had looked at it the other day and thought about tossing it, decided not to.
Picked it up last night and thought, "You gotta go!"
I get a lot of wine as gifts. I had a few on my counter. Looked at my wine rack,
there were some things taking up space- triple sec and peach schnapps.
Emptied them and the bottles went to recycling. That enabled me to move bottles
from the counter to the wine rack.
I had looked at it the other day and thought about tossing it, decided not to.
Picked it up last night and thought, "You gotta go!"

One small hand held cordless vacuum in the trash. The canister wouldn't latch and it didn't have good suction anymore.

I have a really hard time keeping my dining room table and kitchen counters clutter free.
My kitchen is my favorite room in my house.
It looks soooooooooo good right now!
I want it like this all the time. I noted this is one thing I want to work on in 2026.
A daily pickup isn't too hard of an ask.
I will use this Forum to report in that I am keeping the table and counters clutter free.

I decided I'm going to post in the monthly declutter thread and just update that one post throughout the month. For me, it's a Yes or No question.

2 large bags of grocery bags, some of husbands clothes, egg cartons and empty prescription bottles in the car for the thrift shop Monday.
Take a photo of your lovely clean kitchen and pop it on the fridge as a reminder.
2 5 gallon containers taken to Jaymee out of my laundry room. One of Gain and other Dawn
I cleaned out my purse and got receipts onto my fetch acct. and then thrown away.
Went through the box that stuff from the table was put in on Christmas a.m. and got out the good stuff and threw stuff away.

DH and I hauled out everything from under the kitchen sink, corner lower cabinet, and the cabinet on the other side of the stove. Swept and organized and ... let go of this gadget the DH had gotten ... a silver pot for frying. He used it like twice a long while back ... it's messy. So, into the donation box it goes.
Like a lot of you I am doing a quick tidying and decluttering as I put things away.
