Easter for 2023 is Sunday 9th April.
I know this is way too early to be posting about Easter but I thought I will put a reminder up.

There are a lot of treats around at the moment that are only available at Christmas. If there is something that some one particularly likes maybe consider buying it now for a part of an Easter treat.
My brother likes a type of Danish Butter cookie that can only be found around Christmas. Mum and I saw a tin last week that was a great price and a fabulous use by date so Mum has bought a tin for in his Easter bag or for his birthday in June. He will love having his favourite treat mid year.

Good idea to start looking for Easter items. Even craft items might be found on sale soon.
This is a good reminder about the craft items. Plenty of storage boxes etc that can be purposed for events throughout the year.

we will have easter dinner and celebrate my daughters bd which is the 11th.
We haven't made plans yet, I have a few thoughts but nothing definite.
Last year we did a family brunch so may do that again.

I will be hosting this year after taking last year off due to Ginny just having emergency surgery.
I needed to keep the house quiet and peaceful so we all met for a picnic.
I do the same menu each year so that part will be easy.

Easter buns are in the shops, so many varieties. It is a little too early just yet for me to buy any but if I see some reduced I might buy them and freeze for later. I don't think it will be too long before Easter decor, cards etc are in the shops.

DD texted me yesterday about going for Easter brunch at one of our favorite dinner / weekend meeting places. They posted that they are offering a brunch option this year. Because she got it via a "members only" early email, the reservations were wide open. Thankful she thought of this place as an option. :)

We did a family brunch here last year and it was a lovely morning. I might suggest it again for this year.

Easter is everywhere in the shops here. I am shocked at the prices that they want for Easter eggs. $10 for a medium sized chocolate bunny.
We do different things for Easter baskets such as hot chocolate mix and marshmallows, chocolate biscuits, wooly Winter socks and fun sized bags of mars bars. I have been buying things for the last few weeks and I am glad I am nearly done.

What a gorgeous tree, such a cute idea.

Decorated yesterday, I don't have much. I hung wooden eggs in a light up tree that I was going to use for DD's wedding, it looks cute. A few bunnies here and there and that is it.
I filled the Easter baskets over the weekend, there is plenty in them. I need to get some little eggs to put in a bunny dish that I have on the dining room table.

DH and I stocked up on Candy and snacks for the kids easter baskets and a set of toddler friendly dishes (compart plates, bowls, cup and silverware) for the grandson's easter basket. Already picked up a couple toys for him for easter too.
