Ham Glaze

I came across this recipe for a Ham Glaze in one of my old Daytimer books from 1991. I really was looking for my recipe for the Coke Glazed Ham.

Put cloves into ham
Large can of pinapple rings (lay rings on ham)
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup brown sugar
Cherry juice and cherries (I suppose a small jar)

Bake as directed for your ham.
Baste every now and then.

My favorite cake for Easter is Rainbow Citrus Cake. It was on the cover of Family Circle Feb 1977 (yes, I still have the clipping, lol).

Their recipe is all from scratch. I found making it from a cake mix works just as well. I just add the food coloring and rind to each layer as directed in the recipe. I do end up with one extra layer since I use two boxes and they each make two layers. No problem someone always wants to eat cake.

I also buy a box of Jell-O lemon pudding for the filling and use canned frosting. Instead of the oranges and pecan on top Easter eggs/Jelly beans look nice.

Sounds yummy and pretty!

I couldn't get the link to work, though.

Probably long gone by now since the link is 15 years old. I’ll see if I can find a link or will post the recipe. Found my old recipe. I do take short cuts like using a cake mix and flavoring each layer. Lemon pudding or lemon curd work for the filling. And store frosting work if you flavor it a little extra.
