It has been a little while since I posted a challenge but our great group has been posing some great thought provoking questions!

Here is my challenge for this week each day try to "Eat the Rainbow". Trying to get 5-9 fruits or vegetables is great but trying to also get a colorful variety is better because the different colors provide us with different nutrients. The goal is to try to work up to eating at least one food from each color a day. So how many different colors can you get in this week?

Red- Helps with memory, heart and urinary tract
Purple/Blue- fight again, improve memory, urinary tract
White- reduce cancer risks and cholesterol, improves heart health
Green- antioxidants, vision, bones and health
Yellow/Orange-heart health, immune system.

Purple/Blue should read- fight aging not fight again

I better eat more greens for vision :-D

This is great! Thank you for sharing this. I tend to eat healthier during the spring and summer months as there are many fresh veggies and fruits available that aren't during the other seasons.

This is a great reminder of how we are what we eat!! :)
