I WILL declutter in February.. will start doing closets and armoires for the deep-spring-cleaning and decluttering as I go. I have bought alot of clothes on sale in the last 2 weeks.. and have to get rid of the same number of items (I hope!)

When I was about 12 my best friend and I decided to make toffee- we totally burnt it and the whole burnt mess was stuck to the totally ruined pot. We knew that if Mum saw it in the rubbish bin that she would not be impressed! especially as it was a really good pot that she really liked- she did have a few older pots that she used to keep for tricky things like toffee that were prone to burning and ruining pots but we choose one of her favourites. The solution was easy- we dug a big hole and buried the pot on the back garden! Mum had no idea! For many years she blamed my Dad - who swore he had nothing to do with the missing pot.
I only told her when I was about 30! Poor Dad!

Have just gotten back from Target. Bought a few new clothes, mainly for Autumn for work. Must try the Lucie method and see what I might be able to get out of my closet.

Yesterday when we went to my nieces party I took a stuffed Aldis plastic bag of lotions, hair products, some perfumes, bath and body stuff, make up and such for the 2 nieces and my mom to take, a gator belt for my sisters partner (new one Allen had and Michele sits with the elderly) and then some label points and stuff back to Jaymee. Got some trash off the linen shelves too. Have to wash the shelves down and then put stuff back. Hoping that is tonight.

Yes it is the end of the month but I am jumping back in. I started cleaning part of the barn today. 6 bags to go to garbage on Sunday so far. Need to get together all the old bikes and parts so that I can get ahold of a person that gives them make overs and gives away at Christmas time to inner-city kids with out bikes. Finally found a way to contact him

Got the bed moved out of Teigans room, some clothes to move out, and a few bigger toys that she is to big for. (but a few new things are in) That room is done except the closet and that is ALL material that will just need to be straightened around.

Got more stuff out of our bedroom---finally getting the stuff put back onto the shelves and under vanity. Took some items off the wall and will put up one different item. Wanting to finish my room by the end of February---will see.

Saw a new challenge on FB for lent... 40 things out for 40 days of lent. Another great incentive! I've been doing some cleaning but not finding I am decluttering that much. Last weekend I did get rid of lots of metal boxes (they will be given to mom - she uses them for her Christmas baking gifts), 2 puzzles, some aluminium dishes (they will go to mom too as she uses them) and a few other odds & ends. There are 4 bags ready to take to moms.

I went through a huge stack of mail and another larger stack of papers yesterday. Was able to redirect 2/3 of it to either the recycle bin or to the burn bin. Wanted to declutter more stuff in the garage and shed but the weather was so nice over the weekend we spent part of it doing yard work and another part on our bicycles.

Worked a good 5 hours in the barn today. Got a bunch of cardboard and old rotten wood burnt and a bunch more bags of garbage done up for Monday's pick up
