DS is doing some decluttering of his room. He would like to do some rearranging and some new closet shelves and organizers. He asked his sis (DD is flying home next month for a visit) for some decorating help. We might all help in painting an accent wall.

Anyway, he has decided to donate Steve. Steve was given to him by DD's boyfriend years ago. I am not sure where he got it from as he didn't make it. Steve is a heavy three foot high, wooden, painted, homemade character from Minecraft. Some child at the thrift store will love Steve.

3 pillowcases to the trash

2 shirts to the donation box

5 other shirts that I need to cut the buttons off and then maybe cut off the big blue areas of fabric. Company shirts from the old bank before being sold. Heavy material.

On Wednesday, DH and I did some dusting, rearranging, de-cluttering of the photo album shelf, book cases, and TV stand drawers in the living room.

I guess I don't dust these areas like I should. Wow. It was 3 1/2 hours taking breaks to sit down now and again!

There was a box of wires, useless remotes, and adapted DH went through and tossed mostly. Some items got put where they belong because that photo album shelf was a spot to dump items. And three large coffee table books of sports went into the donation box.

I combined Fendi's (dog) treats and got rid of 5 bags.

Cleaned laundry room and got rid of 2 old filters and some packaging from new items.

Allen also collected some items off of the counter that was his.

Threw out a LOT of medicine Friday afternoon when I got home from work that had expired either late 2024 or during 2025.

Wouldn't you know, DH came asking before bed where antibiotic cream was...gone, in the trash.

I asked my sisters if one of them wanted omlet pan from my bridal shower. It is still in box with the recipe book never used. (will be 46 years this summer) Miranda my younger sister said she would take it and that she does omlets for breakfast.

Old tea maker to trash.

I went through my PJ's drawers and lounging pants for around the house and tossed an old, and I mean old wore top, had one for donate and reorganized the drawer to see what I really had. It's funny that you keep reaching for the same set and never getting to what's in the back. I went through cubbie cube of lounger or sleep pants that I just toss on in cold weather with a shirt for around the house chores if I am not going anywhere and one of those got tossed as it had holes. Why??? Was I holding onto it? LOL I never reached in and pulled that pair out. LOL I will do the same with the summer PJ's later when I switch out.

I rearranged my drawers a few years back so that items sit side by side like on a book shelf rather than on top of each other. Makes it easier for me to grab different things rather than the same things all the time.
