Showing love and appreciation for others in today's world can be hard. Sometimes people do not know how to accept compliments, praise, words of love, or appreciation. Probably because they hear it so seldom.
Think about television. when is the last time you watched a show where people were treated with respect? Treated kindly? Accepted for who they are? Not often now days. Put downs and sarcastic humor are the mode currently. And while they may be "funny" they are also like erosion...they eat away at the framework of humanity.

Let's make the world a kinder place in 2008.

Isn't it the truth? We've become such a BART SIMPSON-ISH society. It's all about the witty put-down and insult. A co-worker even remarked "No one knows if I really like them, because of the way people talk to one another." He thinks it's great.
