Good morning!

What's cooking? Tonight will be pizza mountain pies and salad for us....with cucumbers from fil's garden. YUM! We'll have brownies for dessert.

We'll be having the Weeknight Lasagna Toss tonight with salad and green beans. If I go into town, I might stop and pick up some crusty bread too. Or I could get my bread machine out and make some.

We plan on getting take out for lunch today at work.

So, dinner will be something easy- maybe another ruben.

What are "pizza mountain pies?" Sounds interesting!

Mountain pies are made using a pie iron over a campfire. We love the mountain pies. You need the iron maker - use 2 slices of bread and filling of choice, ham and cheese, pie filling, pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni the list is endless. Fold the iron frame together and toast it in the fire. The kids love them. I like apple and peach pie flavors, as well as pizza. You can use the irons to make eggs too.

This week one of the local stores had ribeyes on sale. It was a whole ribeye piece. Just over 13 pounds but the price was great and they cut it free. Since it's only me at home I've already fired up the grill. I have the rest in the freezer. Suppose I should have something besides just meat......maybe a soda.
