I got Teigan a mini beauty fridge yesterday. Jaymee had it on her list too so not sure if she will give it or me. You can keep your creams or such in it or snacks and juice.

The pizza oven I was looking at has very bad reviews. I will have to look for something else

My eldest collects vintage/weird teenage mutant heroes turtles stuff, so over the last couple of weeks I've bought: a collection of turtles cigarette/candy cards from the 80s, an early 90s turtle toy, and a job lot of weird turtles action figures. All courtesy of eBay!
I've bought my youngest a couple of bags of sour sweets for a stocking. It feels like I've properly started now!

I bought some sleeping shorts today for DDIL. They're LSU colors, so I'll look for a LSU t-shirt to go with them.

Had planned a no spend month. Today was the last day of tax free here and husband told me to take advantage of it. He didn’t have to twist my arm. It worked out- some of the movie sets I bought for my husband were on sale. Bought some kitchen gadgets for our son.

I think I am just about finished with stocking fillers with the exception of some chips that I want to add but the use by date is not good yet.
Still need a few gift ideas, would like to buy DD and DSIL a fire pit but they haven't decided on which one they would like.

If you do get them the fire pit you could include a smores basket too. Long metal skewers, bag of marshmallows, chocolate bars and box of graham crackers :)

Ooohhh... If your budget allows, I also suggest a cast iron sandwich maker to use over the fire. We use it during the Christmas season in our fire place to make "Grilled Cheese" among other things. You do have to be careful of where and when you use it because it is very hot. We usually have an old wood cutting board to place the cast iron on.

What amazing ideas. DD and DSIL birthdays are in January so if I don't use these ideas for Christmas I can use them for birthdays. Thank you.

Spoke to DD and she showed us the fire pit that her and DSIL like the most so I have ordered that for them and will click and collect. Good to get their big gift out of the way. I will look into some of the suggestions above as well.
Now to tidy up gifts for DS, he will get mainly gift cards and then something else for DH. Inching along.

@sweetpumkinpye I'm inspired by your early organized shopping!

I have lots of things tossed in a milk crate ready for wrapping days. I have these things because of everyone here inspiring me to start early. I used to see things and think that's cute for so and so, but wouldn't buy as it was early in the year mistakenly thinking I would wait till later. Then I would be scrambling near Christmas. This year has been fun for me as I see little things, I get them and tuck them away and I feel excited for Christmas.

Buying when we see it seems to be more and more critical with supply issues or retailers ordering fewer products.

I’ve noticed that too. I was back in the gift shop this week where I bought my sons jeep t shirt. The shirt I bought and the ones my cousin bought were completely gone. The jacket I wanted to look at again for me was gone, all sizes. I feel like shopping year round is easier on my budget too.

the Swarovski 2024 ornaments are at Costco so i picked up 2, one for a Christmas wedding, and one as another gift.
I love them but never get them. Well, gotten a couple way after Christmas when marked down for gifts.
