How ironic is it that when my kids were living at home and I had a full time job and a part time business, and they played every sport known to mankind, I was so much more organized and together than now that we are empty nesters? ‍♀️♀️

I haven’t had a gift closet in years. Well. Guess what! This is the year to reinstate it!!
I am planning on getting our 2 oldest sons Blackstone griddles. The youngest has one already so he’ll get accessories for his. My daughter in law is learning to bake and decorate cakes and cookies so she’ll get an assortment of baking supplies, including pans of various sizes. The other two boys are not married but are both in long term, committed relationships so I treat their girls like my own (they are!!). They will be getting kitchen items such as paring knife sets and I am on the hunt for vintage, pretty pots and pans to make simmer pots for them. I’ll gather the ingredients for a few seasonal simmer pots and package them up cute and include with the pots. I also plan to do this for my bestie and her daughter in love (who is also like my own!!)
I need to make a list. BRB!!

I did a bit of shopping while in the city. Got DD a pair of Winter pjs and some snuggle socks. Got DH a pair of sleep shorts with dogs printed on them. Mum picked a new handbag so I will put that aside for her. A few stocking fillers, wax melts and reed diffusers, snuggle socks for me and some nougat and packets of nuts for DH's advent calendar.

At Wal-Mart just awhile ago I got a pair of hair drying mittens and a family size blanket that folds up into the zipper pouch and can be used as a cushion---both for Jaymee and Teigan. Blanket I went with the scene of shells so could be used on the beach.

While at Kentucky I got mom a book to read the Bible in 52 weeks. Has questions to answer and I thought it was interesting.

I just ordered a personalized throw (they don't need anymore but....) for Teigan with volleyball and her name in light pink and gray. The large 60 x 80 size. Also, got a T with deer face and antlers and her name on it for Christmas tags orders. A place called Callie online. Personalized items of all types.

I bought my husband and sons new socks and put them away. I had to buy my youngest socks recently, and picked the Hanes Absolute sock. He and I were both impressed, so I got myself a set. Now, I hate wearing shoes and socks. Give me a sandal any day. But these are the comfiest socks I have ever worn! So I bought everyone a pack as a gift. :) The only bummer is that the women's version cost 50% more than the men's.

Do you have a list or ideas? Just curious where everyone is at shopping wise.
My stocking fillers seem OK. I think DS is done but need ideas for DD and DSonIL. I might just have to ask them if they need anything.

A good number of "generic" gifts but nothing for the immediate family.

A notebook with ideas is all that I have right now. There are six birthdays between August 12th and October 2nd along with Christmas, so the ideas need to flow faster.

I don't find many deals since our shopping options are limited to WM, DG, Dollar Tree, and Tractor Supply unless we drive 50 miles or more. I love reading about what you all find.

We are much the same here now. I am finding limited shopping opportunities. I will need to learn to embrace online shopping a bit more.
