Did an order from TEMU. It will be interesting to see what the quality is like. All inexpensive stocking fillers so if I am not happy with the quality I will donate them.
I received my order. Some of it was very nice and some of it was not so good. I bought some magnesium pain relief patches for my mum and they are in a pack smaller than a pack of playing cards! I bought some earrings that looked really cute on the website but in real life not so much, bits of plastic with a picture stuck on them. For the price I paid I will probably just end up tossing them.

I felt the same way about my first - and so far only - order from Temu. The dresses were so horrible that they immediately went into the donation bag. For the price.....

I am not sure if I will ever buy clothing from TEMU. I bought some Christmas wish coins and they are gorgeous and well worth the $2 ish dollars I spent. I bought DSONIL a little finger piano and it is also very nice.
I think it may be a bit hit and miss.

I have gotten clothes from TEMU for Teigan but I buy larger size. They seem to run small but have been nice pieces that I have received. Hit and miss on other items, Same as with Shein.

Had thought about ordering from them but was concerned about quality for the price. Always looks too good to be true. I guess I won’t now. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Watch your credit card account. Everyone I know of who has ordered from Temu has had their card compromised. I refuse to order from them, regardless of prices.

I went to Hobby Lobby last weekend. They advertised 90 percent off Christmas, but not one Christmas item left. All spring. I agree about the stores not restocking. They only buy a limited amount I guess.

I quit exchanging gifts with most family members years ago. I'm the youngest of 8 kids, and with kids spouses and grandkids it's just not doable. It was fun while we were youngish, but got to be too much. My parents have both passed on. Now I just buy for one brother and his girlfriend, and one sister, her 2 sons and one's girlfriend. I have Christmas dinner with them. My sister's exchange little gifts or treats at our lunch. Much more manageable.

I very much enjoy ordering from Temu, but I have a very specific mindset when doing so.
I basically look at the Temu order as stocking stuffer/Advent calendar fillers; almost at the level of gag gifts.
I don't have many people to buy for any more; basically DH and my elderly mother. Christmas has always been my big splurge, but we're all at the age where we have everything we need, and can afford to buy anything we want within reason, so our gift giving has shifted more towards experiences. I found myself missing the fun and anticipation of gift giving ( and recieving! ) , so several years ago, I bought us all very nice wooden Advent calendars, and I budgeted about 100 dollars each for DH and DM, intending on it going towards the sort of fun, silly things one usually stuffs stockings with. Temu is great for that! I'm never expecting good quality, but 90 percent of the time I'm blown away by how nice the items are. This year I took a chance on a few more expensive items. Spent 20 dollars on a small drone and 30 for a small radio controlled helicopter for DH. He was thrilled! The quality was quite good for the price. These were meant to test out before he dropped a ton of money on the real thing. I definitely would not recommend the drone as a proper gift, but it was perfect for testing. The little rc helicopter was quite nice and I would not have been embarrassed to have given it as a gift. All in all, I have very positive experiences with Temu, but I go in to it with very low expectations. I think it's well worth it for what I call "funsies."
Editing to add that I've ordered from Temu for several years and haven't had any issues with my card being compromised. I tend to have more issues in that regard with Wal-Mart, and even that has gotten better.

We pay through our paypal account. I actually just put what I want in my cart and DH pays.

I've never ordered from Temu or Shein, but several ladies from the office do. The majority of them buy the "generic" reloadable credit card and use them to pay rather than their personal debit/credit card because of that.

I have ordered maybe 6 or 7 times and haven't had in trouble with my card. But, being in banking I completely understand people being iffy. Tons of fraud out there. I am having trouble with Mrs.Quilty. Not what was advertised and I wondered about it.

First grocery shop for the year. Did make a start today, bought the dogs food and sardines that they get in their stockings, good use by dates so that is done. A few little stocking fillers, hair combs for DB and DS, and some lens wipes for DS and DD. Many weeks to go but nice to have a start on what I need to buy.

Interesting. I didn’t have trouble for years but started to several months after my Temu order. Like I said - never again.

Just had a lovely day out with Mum. Went to our favourite department store for a look and ended up with some great bargains. I sent DS a "whiskey decanter" for Christmas and he loved it. BIG W had some today on clearance $3.50 save $15.50! I texted him and he asked for 2. I found some "martini" glasses also on clearance and he said yes please. He is visiting next week so he can take them home with him. A very early birthday present.
Got some storage containers for Mum for Mother's Day and some shower gel for me 1/2 price today.

I’m going to try and buy at least one gift a month for now in the spring / summer will increase a few a month . Time goes by so fast. It’ll be here before you know it.. but then we have birthdays anniversaries Valentine‘s Easter, things that we always buy little gifts for. It’s always something but fun .

This is a perfect way to prepare for the year ahead.
I buy gifts and stocking fillers for 8 people plus items for meals and other events, as you say birthdays etc.
If I don't start now and buy throughout the whole year I would be very stressed and behind the curve. It suits me to prepare like I do.
