It is so nice to see some Christmas cheer early in the year when we all think that Christmas is so far away.

I downloaded the Dream Book today.

When i got to the end there was a note that said something like "the prices in the book are all inaccurate. these are the new prices as of May 2025" . When I looked, everything was quite a bit more expensive. The $16.99 item I had looked at was now $20.99 with similar increases across the board.

Hmmm.

I haven't flipped through mine yet, but I will certainly look for that note, thank you!

I love the retro look of the event announcement.

I didn't see anything in the paper copy about the increase in prices, but I see the note on the online copy. Interesting, I wonder what happened there? I'll have to ask the next time I go into my local Hallmark store.

A few weeks back I had heard that Christmas decorations were going to increase with the new 145% tariffs being placed on China's imports to the US. Balsalm Hill has acknowledge the increase. I'm not sure if this pertains to the Hallmark Dreambook items or not. If it does, it might explain the higher cost. They probably had that Dream Book printed and ready to go months ago. The cost of reprinting probably didn't make financial sense.

Here's what I received this from Balsam Hill:

An Important Update to Our Pricing

With the new tariffs in place, we are making the tough decision to raise our prices starting on June 10th.

We don't want to raise our prices, but there is no way we can absorb the increases otherwise. We are doing everything we can to minimize what we pass along to customers.

We remain committed to bringing you the very best heirloom-quality Christmas trees, greenery, and décor for all your holiday decorating needs. We're so grateful to be a part of your celebrations. If you've had your eye on a Balsam Hill tree or Christmas décor, now is the time to buy at current prices. We hope giving you advance notice of this increase is helpful.

Yes, I heard about it from @halimer. She posted this above:
