I have had the material for a couple years now so would love to make DS-hunting, DD-cherries, and her BF-John Deere stockings for Christmas. Anybody have simple instructions?

I found a stocking book at the library. It had basics, to more complex. When I have it tomorrow, I'll send you the name. It has the basic instructions for sewing your stocking, then from there you can decorate it as you like.

Mini-knitted stockings (very cute.. but I don't knit!) http://littlecottonrabbits.typepad.co.uk/photos/free_pattern/stockings6.html

My daughter had a stocking we bought years ago and I cross stiched her name on it. When she got married I traced it and made sil one the same size out of camo. Also her two children.
It depends if you want them lined or not. If not they are very easy to make.

Okay, it's called "The Christmas Stocking Book" by Mary D'Alton. Can get more basic then that..LOL

It's a great book and the patterns are right there. I just picked the biggest one in the book and will adapt it.

THANKS, MinnieCo and Luludo!!! I appreciate your help. Peppermint Pattie, I think I want them lined, so they are alittle heavier. I really do hope to make them this year.
