Yesterday, after lunch and swimming some at my friend’s … we also de-cluttered two drawers in her kitchen. One junk drawer and her place mats.

She had bought little trays for organizing so we used those and put “like with like” … scissors, stamps, post it notes, screws - nails - cabinet shelf plastic - things, glass cleaner wipes, address book, matches …

She tossed tags and receipts and random crap.

Then she looked the place mats over and I took some to donate. She spot cleaned some others finally because it’s been on her silent to do list. That made her happy. And there were trivets in there she forgot about.

She felt lighter, she said. :)

I am working in my room--wanted to be in closet but have under vanity to put back. I am combining bottles of the same stuff that have same expiration dates, putting all the bars of soap (lots of it because we were using Irish Spring in garden for detering deer) (worked for a time but after rains had to replace so have several new bars unopened) and hand soaps together in containers for each. Texted Jaymee not to buy any hand soap. I have 11 regular size and 5 big refill bottles! Throwing some items away and taking other things out of boxes. So trash is coming out.

A friend came over and I gave her mom's new rainboots so she can work in her enormous garden. She was very happy, she spends her summers with her husband at her mom's house but when she is home (in her own town), she goes to see mom every 2 days and does her hair, she takes good care of her. She says she will think of her everytime she wears them.
About 20 egg crates given to same friend (her bil has chickens and is always looking to have some)
1 painting on aquarelle paper which she liked

Lucie - I like the painting too!

One metal box that cookies came in. Usually repurpose them but it was looking rather grungy inside.

I am taking a few things to Canberra, we will donate them to the church for their next fete. A few knitted items and some kitchen bits and pieces.

I decluttered and organized the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen. That was quite the job. I have a small bag of trash and a small bag of plastic and glass to recycle now.

I added another bag of stuff to donate.

As I am decluttering, I'm realizing that I have a lot of sentimental things likes cards, certificates, letters, etc. through out the house. I have not been dealing with them during the decluttering because it gets me sidetracked. I think that may have to be my autumn project.
