In front of my computer
Katrina, When I’m not drinking as much water as I’d like I add some orange juice. Only a few tablespoons but enough to give it a different taste.

Thanks for the suggestion. In Summer I have no problems getting the water in, in Winter I struggle. Will add a little oj and see if that helps.

Jess, you are a busy girl again this week, are the kids still on break or are they back at school.
The kids here are in a 2 week Winter break.

The kids are on summer break until August 5th when school starts back up. But yes, a very busy week this week unfortunately. :( Then i'm on vacation come next Tuesday when my mom flies in until the 28th!

Jess, how wonderful that you'll have some time with your mom! When did school let out for the summer?

The high school here starts the last week of August and finishes the first week in June. The elementary and middle schools start after Labor Day and finish mid June.

Katrina, June was busy with wrapping up school, finishing the vacation plans and then packing for our hiking trip at the end of June. I hope that the rest of the summer will require less mental output on my end. LOL!

We will be hosting some teens from Germany in two weeks. It's the first time that we've been asked to be a host family. They will be in the area for four days. At the end of August, we'll be heading to the beach for a weekend with my siblings and my parents to celebrate my dad's birthday. My dad just doesn't know it yet! :D

How cold is it where you are?

I've got 5 daughters whose ages range from 20 to 12. :) They are looking forward to meeting the other teens.

On a different note, I am really happy with the changes that I've seen since I began keeping a weekly list in January. Work is still there but it has gotten easier over time by just having the reminders to keep up.

Mary, a gorgeous big family full of children. How wonderful it must be. I have DS 31 (on Monday) and DD 26. DH and I would have liked more but I had a rough time delivering our babies do decided that 2 was enough for us.

i too am finding things a lot easier since I started writing lists in January. Certainly works for me.

I absolutely enjoy being a mom. It is busy and chaotic and stressful at times especially with coordinating schedules. What helped you transition to having adult children? It seems so odd to be at the beginning of that stage. Where did the time go?

I adore being a mum too, all I ever wanted to be. I sometimes find it hard to realize that the kids are growing up, I want to keep them babies for ever. Luckily it just happens and you adapt along the way.
