Wow, that is quite the list.
I am going to be following a cleaning/declutter plan from a blog that I like. It seems to be close to what I will follow. Most of the information is on the blog but
DH has ordered me a book for my birthday that is the companion to the plan. When the book gets here I will start.
I will let you know how it goes!

I'm going to join you. :) I have my parent's anniversary party and my daughter's graduation to prepare for in the May/June time frame. It would benefit me if I worked on the cleaning and the planning now while there is a lull in our family activity.

January Household:
Finish Christmas Clean Up: tree gets taken down Jan. 10th for tree pick up; stray decorations get put away
Organize Office: put books away; sort through papers and file
Sort and Organize Bill writing area - Move 2016 bills out of binder and into storage; check for stamps
Dust/Vacuum/Declutter Master Bedroom: bureau, chair, side table, book case and closet

Party Prep:
Menu Planning
Inventory party plates, napkins, forks, knives, spoons, cups, and glasses
Think about guest list and party invitations
Spring Spruce Up: determine what needs to get done indoors/outdoors in the warm weather.

I think that is enough to get me started!

Today is first day back to normal schedule after holidays/winter break and trip to TN to see family. Will be getting things back to normal this week as well as assessing how I want to tackle cleaning plans! :)

The tree is up with only the lights and I have lights on the mantle until mid February. It makes the room cozy until we start getting more light in the late afternoon. All other Christmas decorations are put away.

I'm hanging my head in shame! Although all of my Christmas stuff is down, it's not put away. I swore that before anything was put away a major declutter had to take place first in the storage area that everything goes back to. I'm praying that the weather will hold out with mild temperatures and no rain for the next couple of days so I can get this preliminary chore done and get everything put away as it should be.

I've also taken on a new approach to my household tasks and routines that I pray works out better for me. Instead of focusing on one room or area for an entire week I've designated Daily Focus Areas.
Sunday - Grocery shopping, Laundry - Colored Permanent Press
Monday - Bathrooms, Bedrooms, Laundry-Bath Rugs & Bed Linens
Tuesday - Craft room/Office, Hall, Dining Room, Laundry - Kitchen & Bath linens
Wednesday - Kitchen, Breakfast Area, Fridge, Freezers, Laundry - Colored Permanent Press
Thursday - Living room, Cook ahead Laundry- whites
Friday - Auto, Purse, Desk Day, FIL Apartment
Saturday - The Great Outdoors (gardening, lawn care, garages, porches)

Much like the HHP plan I've broken specific tasks down to weekly, biweekly, every 3 weeks.....and so one. For instance I don't feel the need to wash my exterior windows every single week so I've scheduled them to be cleaned on the 2nd Saturday of each month. I do however feel it's important to wipe down the front door weekly so it's scheduled for every Saturday as well as sweeping and mopping the decking on my front porch and shaking out the entrance rug. This takes all of 15 minutes. The first Saturday is designated for the front entrance yard and beds as well as hanging plants and window boxes. Everything is weeded, trimmed, fertilized, planted or mowed on this day as needed. The 3rd Saturday is dedicated to the back yard and decks. The 4th Saturday is dedicated to the garage and sheds. The 4 times (April, July, Sept., & Dec.) where we have 5 Saturdays is dedicated to the cleaning and maintenance on the 5th wheel.. I generally put out my seasonal decorations, seat cushions and such on my front porch on the last Saturday of each month.

As with anything new it's taking some time, but I feel like this will work out great. I'm proud of what January accomplishments look like so far.
