We are gonna work on these areas this month.
Front Porch

I am coming home twice a week (1 1/2 drive one way) from my cat sitting at my sis's to keep up with my house chores with DH. I will also do twice this month my cleaning job with DS at my friend's house. My sis is going to go to my niece's for the month to be there for baby time! Niece's due day is May 12th!
Well, the month of May went ... FAST!!!
My grand nephew was born May 15th!!

Yay! Betcha that feels great. The kitchen is on my schedule today. I did the drawers and in the living room along with the coat closet earlier this week.
Working on the wrap around porch, furniture, deck, outside of windows and flower beds the next few days.
Finished the kitchen cupboards. I do have a question for you all. How do you store your various-sized baggies, trash bags, plastic wrap, foil, and parchment paper? Currently, I have mine in one deep drawer. To me, it seems like a poor use of space. Would an upper cupboard be better, and put the Pyrex storage bowls in the drawer? I would be swapping the contents of the two areas. I am still trying to optimize the new cabinets since the kitchen remodel.
I have the foil and parchment paper, etc in the cabinet above the frig on the lower shelf on the left.
My food baggies are around the corner of the kitchen in the pantry which was a hall coat closet.
The trash bags are in the laundry room shelf.

I keep my foil, parchment, baggies etc in a drawer next to the stove and below the microwave. Trash bags are in the back hall closet.

Truthfully, where they are currently located, I noted when cleaning cupboards yesterday that the food storage containers can be awkward to reach due to having to reach around a cupboard door. Putting them in the drawers makes me concerned due to the weight of the glass. The setup is good, just wondering if there is a better way. Trash bags could go under the sink, but they fit fine in the drawer.

Jody, I have all my bags, wrap etc in a drawer next to the sink. Garbage bags are under the sink as the box is too big.

I would like to keep my trash bags under the sink because that’s where the trash can is. We have a reverse osmosis for our water and it takes up the rest of the room.
Finished everything on my list except- still need to spray some thistles in the flower beds but it’s too windy. Husband said he would power wash the deck and help with the widows but not today. That means whenever I’m in the middle of some major project he will decide that is the time to do it, now or never. Oh well.
In the old house, I had wire racks that were mounted inside the doors under the sink. That was where the foil, parchment, and plastic wrap and plastic bags were stored. In the new house, they're in a drawer on the peninsula. The trash bags are in the pantry. At the old house, they were in a weird open area between the sink cabinet ans the stove. I really liked the wire rack setup. I don't know why I haven't done it here.
I gave up a shelf in my pantry and am lucky to have some small shelves on the inside of the panty door for holding my items.
