Okay, the final week of the original 15 week plan!!! I'm going to use this week for the Front "Porch" & Entrance to my home. With the weather warming up - and drying up - I'd like to get the front of the house ready for planting annuals in a few weeks.

[X] sweep cobwebs and wall down
[X] wash (replace?) doormat
[X] sweep porch, steps, walkway
[] repaint door
[] replace bulbs
[X] rake leaves out of front beds
[X] trim back bushes
[X] kill dandelions that seem to have taken over the bed this spring
[X] ready pots for plants
[X] plan a new bed for around mailbox and lamp post
[] look into ornamental tree to plant at corner of house

I'm redoing Week One because it needs to be done again. Also adding a few additional things with the warmer weather.

Completed:
Clean the light fixture.
Remove all things from the porch and put them away.
Sweep the porch.
Clean welcome mat.
Sweep down the walls and get rid of cobwebs.
Water plant containers.
Replant around water feature.
Trim hibiscus.
Weed baby tears.
Dust/wax bench.
Still to do:
[ ] Polish front entry doors.
[ ] Clean door hardware.
[ ] Take out notes made for spring plantings during week 1. Implement.
[ ] Put some bleach in water feature.

Well, I will have to go on beyond the "15" weeks! :-D

Due to the sprained ankle and then family vacation! But all will work out in the end ... small bites at a time! ::eek:rnament:

Here's my last entries I'm keeping on my computer of my weeks of work.

Week Fifteen: April 20th - Dining Room
[ ] Wash down table and chairs
[ ] Take of seats and vacuum
[ ] redo material on seats and cover with bisqueen (sp??)
;-)
(Feels good to be able to walk on my own again and actually clean my house again! Am I strange, or what???)

Yes life does get in the way...but you guys have been doing awesome...wow...I am impressed...I must be a short term planner...anything past six weeks and I fall off of the wagon...LOL

I'm thinking next year we need to call our beginning of the year plan something else...since it is now APRIL not January...LOL Good Job!!!

It has been a long haul, but I'm so excited that I finished the JumpStart. My home looks so much better. Yes, there are weeks that I slacked off and didn't do as much as I planned. Yet, I did much more than I would have because of this board. Thanks!

I'm with you, holly-ivy! This is probably the best I've done with a cleaning plan. I by no means got through everything I wanted to, but my house is thanking me for what I was able to accomplish. I think being accountable here definitely helps me!

Thanks Momof4 ... we did have a nice vacation. TX was nice like our weather in FL. Iowa, however, started out 36 degrees and snow flurries! It warmed up to 70 when we left. Good to see family.

Well, last week I re-covered the dining chairs and they are NICE! Hubby said the plastic vinyl I was saying is "V", visqueen. But all we got was plastic vinyl from walmart. I covered each chair with different material so we each have our signature seat! :)
