JumpStart January Week Four: Master Bedroom

Our next room on the schedule is the master bedroom. I'll be back later to post my to do list for this week. But wanted to get this up so those of your that are realy on top of things can get your list posted!!!

I still have some finishing up from last week, but this week I hope to conquer the master bedroom...

[]organize nightstand drawers
[]purge top of dressers and drawers
[]wipe down walls
[]dust/polish furniture

[]dust baseboards
[]clean out under bed - it's become a place to hide stuff fast (like Santa's wrapping paper) and needs organizing

[]clean out closet - did this not too long ago, so should be easy

[]Finish Photo Gallery (need to buy trim and stain it, may wait until it is warm enough to do in the garage)

Trying to kill three challenges in one here-
office is in Master bedroom so there's jumpstart and RAM. Will start decluttering my closet-that'll be my 15 min. tomorrow!

For me this is a hard room to get motivated for...last summer I was suppose to paint it and put down new flooring...well LIFE happened and I never did get it accomplished...it is on my list for May or June this year.

This room is going to be a huge challenge. Rather than scare myself away from it, I'm going to list only a few tasks. When they are completed, the next task will be posted. Otherwise I will be overwhelmed.

UMMMM didn't get as much accomplished as I wished to...this week...never do. So this list will get filed in my Home Notebook for use later....on to a new room tomorrow.!!! If I don't take this apporach I would stay on ONE room forever cause nothing ever seems to get totally finished!!!

I'm with you, Gingerug! My list never seems to get done - I could spend months on one list before it is finally complete. That's what I love about this program - do what you can and then continue with the next thing.

Rackandrollgal - WTG! Trying to catch some of your motivation.

The Master Bedroom has become my room for the month. Don't want my lack of progress in there to hinder the rest of the Jumpstart. So I will be plodding along in there as time permits.

I too have chosen my bedroom to be my "Room for the Month" and have done well so far. BUT currently I am out of commission because of back problems but thank God there are 19 more days in the month!!!

Our master bedroom ebbs and flows...sometimes, I keep it so nice and tidy, dresser top cleared off, no clothes piled on the chair/ottoman, everything in it's place and nicely dusted...then there's the other 50 weeks out of the year. This is one room that needs constant attention, because I tend to pile everything that doesn't have a home but I want/need to keep either in this room or the laundry room. As a result, they are both thorns in my side!

So--I'm making these two rooms my rooms of the month-the rest of February for the bedroom, March for the laundry room. Ugh. I dread it!
