Last year I added a lovely pair of elves to our collection that I called the Twelve Day Elves. They only celebrate with us the last twelve days before Christmas and they bring some gifts but they also bring activities and "missions".
One of the missions last year was to take cookies to three families and sing to them. We had to wear our elf hats and we did the whole thing...
"The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear..." Then we sang. Another mission was rating the lights in the neighborhood and sending the info to Santa.
I'll be doing the Twelve Day Elves again this year along with all the other "original elves".
Since we lost the other blogs here at MHH I created an elf blog to update things. Since this is the Month of the Elf (August) I hope to get up some posts. If you have an elf blog let me know and I'll add your link on my blog. There's a lot of ideas on the blog so check it out if you are interested in some ideas....
