Hi everyone!

I have chosen Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale as my March movie pick. I love this movie. Here is the plot summary from IMDB:

On Christmas Eve in Finland, Santa Claus is unearthed in an archaeological dig. Soon after, children start disappearing, leading a boy and his father to capture Santa and, with the help of fellow hunters, they look to sell him back to the corporation that sponsored the dig. And then there's Santa's elves, who are determined to free their leader

Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale is a prequel (sp?) to a couple of shorts which are on YouTube. If you would like to watch these, the links are as follows:

Note: neither the movie or shorts are for children :)

I actually saw this movie a couple of years ago at the Perth International Film Festival. After that, I was waiting for a DVD release. Just this month, I seen it at the video store as a new release rental! I've noticed a delay like that a few times when it comes to subtitled movies!

I have a secondary movie pick - in case you can't find Rare Exports, or it hasn't been released where you are. My alternate pick is Four Holidays (or Four Christmases depending on where you live). I have wanted to see this movie for a while, and could never find it in the video store when it was picked in previous years. So, I'm going to track it down, and possibly buy it so I can finally see it :)

Have a great Rudolph Day everyone!!

Hubby wants to watch "The Holiday" with Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Jack Black. I love the scene were they are laying in the girls indoor tent in the girls bedroom...and the last scene where they're in their party clothes dancing in the New Year. Happy Rudy Day to you all!

I have Four Christmases, but I haven't heard of the Rare Export movie, either. I will look around for the Christmas Tale. Thanks for your picks. :)
