Gave a big bag of wreath frames to one cousin and a bag of paper crafting supplies to another cousin yesterday. Cousins were happy with all the “stuff” I gave them, glad it’s out of my house.
This week is my "Stay-cation" and a big part of this week is to declutter/organize some things.
I will share here my plans and what I accomplish.
My plans:
* Clear out DVR from old recordings. I tend to record everything!
I have a few things from earlier in the year I want to go through and delete.
* Clean out and organize coat closet.
* Clean out and organize linen closet.
* Go through old magazines. 1 hour per day. How many will leave?
I just packed up about 8 gift bags to give to my niece, along with the tissue paper that was in them.
I folded them nicely and tucked them all in a bigger gift bag so 9 gift bags gone.
My niece has 4 kids so she is constantly going to b-day parties.
Also just went through and deleted the Rose Parade which I taped on New Year's Day!!!
I will have a load from my friend that I am helping to declutter before her son's engagement party. I have been there twice and took stuff away each time. I will go again Wednesday and probably do a drop off before I head to my dad's.
A very large suitcase is being donated. I will fill it with a few things that I found while setting up the study. I am not sure what to do with luggage. We need to keep it for our occasional trips and I have 2 bags for DrillDance. 1 onboard bag for quick trips and a larger one for when I go to Nationals and am gone for a week. It is such a pain to store.
In the fall I will donate some coats. Hoping to find an adult "coat donation."
I see a lot of them for kids but not so much for adults.
I marked on my calendar in September- pull coats from coat closet to donate.
Also have some of my dad's stuff from his coaching days that my brother will take:
* A wind breaker
* A sweat shirt with high school name
* Wool baseball pants.
If I found the top to go with the pants- it would make a cool shadow box.
Annie, check local shelters. They often take coats for adults. Also, high-schools have adult sized kids. Most are very discreet with handing out used clothing. We had a used clothing closet at the school where I taught.
