DH took a trip to the tip. Got rid of some more things off our verandah.

Jane-
Thank you for the tip on the coats!

I finished the coat closet- found a set of different table cloths- one is "fall," a couple Christmas ones.
They were my mom's. Since I have not used them, they will be donated.

I also went through and deleted the Golden Globes from my DVR. It was over 4 hours long!
Does this count as decluttering? It does to me because my DVR is usually at 99% full! hahahahaa.

I can see why my magazines pile up on me. My biggest culprit- National Geographic.
It takes time to read them. Fantastic photography, maps to look at. But what I pleasure to sit and really take in the articles.
Another thing I will have to schedule or it won't happen. 10-15 minutes a night?! Maybe do as a break at work?

Coat closet is done. Now on to the linen closet.

Two stacks of magazines and one bag of garbage out today.

One box of old taxes to be shredded.

Two bags for donation.

I think I'm at the point where I'll just be moving things around now although I do want to go through some of my books again.

This past Monday DH and I started cleaning out the garage. We got about 1/3 of it done. Donated a bunch of stuff and trashed a few other things that were broken. Hoping to get some more cleaned out over the next couple weeks.

Ditched the "harder" reading mags- National G's,- and rooted around and found some
Taste of Home ones.
6 are now in the recycle bag. 2 were from 2022. SMH.

I probably ripped out too many recipes but at least the bulk of the magazines are gone.

Just found a People magazine that one should be a quick one to get rid of as well.

I wonder if others do this- these magazines are in grocery store bags or reuseable store bags.
I simply gather them up, put them in a bag and the bag goes in my home office.
Now I have a pile up of those bags.

Slowly but surely going through them.

This is what DH does. And he never looks at those bags again! At least you do! Kudos!

Probably two dozen books I have either read and don't need for my permanent collection, or ones that I will never read.

However, I have kept one copy of War and Peace - I had 2 and have never finished it yet;)
