Katrina, how are you doing with the changes? Does having a project/activity that you and your dh can work on together help? We are seeing the needs of our children shift as they enter high school, college and soon to be post college. Dh and I are adapting to that change where we get to spend more time with one another.

Jampss, that is so nice that you crochet the mitts. I have tried doing handiwork of various sorts over time and have accepted that it is not my gift. I can do a small craft project with a hot glue gun if it can be done in a two or three hour time span. Otherwise, I lose interest and it becomes an unfinished project haunting me.

Here's my short list of questions and answers:
  1. What worked? Planning for the next week.
  2. What didn't work? Putting too many items on the list to do vs. a list to do if I have time.
  3. What did I learn? Wording is important to me. It can change my perspective. Example: See above. Also I have to do vs. I get to do this.
  4. Biggest time sink? Scrolling through coup attempt news feed. Will try to be aware this week and use it for reading ebooks instead.
  5. What am I looking forward to this week? Time to update journal; Time to finish up writing about one ancestor

Thank you, I am doing ok. I have set myself so many to do items that I find it is keeping me busy. I am checking off a lot of things on my lists and adding more every day. DH is being very useful, and I think is on board with what I would like to do around the house. Having said all that I miss DS a lot.

Mary- It's not me that crocheted anything. :)

The week is going by so quickly. Lots of things the I am keen to get to, on a bit of a roll.
Really enjoying the milder weather although it will heat up next week. The perfect weather to get things done
Looks like you are all getting a lot of things crossed off your lists too.

I decided that watching the Presidential Inauguration while sorting through the papers sitting in my family for two weeks was a good way to be productive. I was right. I got through the whole thing today and it never felt like a chore. And I didn't feel guilty for watching television all day.

Sadly I missed the Inauguration as it was during the night for us. I will admit to shedding a little tear as I saw President Biden take the oath.
