Mary, another great list this week.
You remind me that I really must get my emergency planner started, I have been meaning to get to this.
Am interested in your celebrate Christmas basket. Is it for CIJ?

I'm a little late this week because I had no motivation to make a list. I, honestly, am not sure what to put on it anymore. I feel like i'm grasping at straws right now and just kind of doing things as they come up and not really planning on anything unless it's a scheduled appointment. *sigh*

Priority Items/Appointments:
List small table on sale site (been sitting too long and reoccurring on weekly list)
Dermatology Appointment
Neurology Appointment (talk about Botox again since it appeared to work)

Necessary Items:
Drop bag of clothes at Goodwill or Thrift Store (if open)
Schedule eye exam
Email PCE principal/host teacher thank you's (waited way too long to do this)

School Items:
Study for assessment
Take pre-assessment
Schedule objective assessment

Household Items:
Reorganize pantry
Create Meal plan
Write out grocery list

School supply shopping

For me, part of doing the Organized Christmas plans is taking time to enjoy the process. For all the years that I've done the plan, generally speaking, I've always had weekly time alone in the house to get either Christmas cards written or gifts wrapped. With the huge uptick in cases across the country with college students and older, we may be looking at online learning happening sooner than the end of November for college students. If that is the case, our family room becomes the learning hub with the two desktops that are set up there. I won't have our family room to myself for the cards and gifts to get done while listening to a Christmas movie on the television. I'll have to move to my bedroom. It really isn't ideal. I thought if I made a Celebrate Christmas basket then it would make the potential situation seem better.

I've had to deal with so many disappointments and cancellations and changes this year that I'm trying to find a way to deal with potential snafus for things that bring me Christmas joy. I'm going to work hard at finding it.

We all have days like these. Give yourself a day or two of space and grace. :) Sometimes we just need to nourish our souls before we can work off a list. These are difficult times.

Mary, what great advice. I was going to suggest much the same.....take a break, enjoy some time out and when ready go again. We cannot work all year round without some stumbles.

I understand what you are saying. I love that you are going to work hard to find joy. Sometimes I cannot see the joy through all the chaos but I know if I look hard it is there.

How's everyone doing this week? I'm really trying to get through some of these things so I can work on some other things I've got brewing now. It feels good to get to some of those long put off projects.

Hey Mary, I am doing OK. I seem to have a lot going at the moment, I have extra crafts going and I am working on some decor for the farm plus just my normal routine jobs. Will get there just have to prioritise what is most important and move from there.
