As we are cleaning out my grandmas house, I ran across these 2 items and I thought they both had good meanings so will share them with MHH.

Wipe away your tears, get rid of your fears;
Here's the best news you've heard in years!
Jesus Christ is coming to town.

He's makin' a list in the Book of Life,
That'll be the end of your trouble and strife!
Jesus Christ is comin' to town.

He loves you when you're sleepin',
He loves you when you're awake;
He loves you when your're bad or good,
But be good for Jesus' sake!

Now put on a smile, get rid of that frown,
Spread the "Good News" all around;
Jesus Christ is comin' to town.

A Promise.......To Myself

I promise, from this day forward:
To accept myself...unconditionally
To love myself and cherish my existence
To always show myself respect
To not demand perfection
To stop putting myself down
To give myself the credit I deserve

To be my own best friend, someone I can depend on
To open my eyes to the beautiful promise in me
To utilize my God given talent to build inner security
and make a positive contribution to the world

Because

Only if I love myself, can I truly love others
Only if I respect myself, can I respect others
Only if I'm open to the "specialness" in me, can
I genuinely appreciate the uniqueness in others
Only if I cherish my own existence, can I become
The person I was meant to be!

In front of my computer
Make sure to keep a few of her clothes to make pillows for family members for Christmas. Her jewelry can be used to cover foam Christmas trees that have been covered with velvet.

Please save all old letters, documents and photos for anyone doing genealogy on your family.

Arkansas-Go Razorbacks! Whoo Pig Sooie!
Very nice! I'm thinking that first one would be a great addition to the program at our Ladies' Brunch at church this Christmas. Thanks so much for sharing that!!

TFS! I love both of those. I've pass "Jesus Christ is comin' to Town" to my friend at our church's early childhood center for a possilbe theme and song for their annual Jingle Bell Mingle.

Thank you all for the nice words. These were papers that were typed out, so I am assuming she got them from somewhere. Think I will take a few copies to church and work and hand out to a few people.

TFS - Thank you so much. Your grandmother must been a special person who thought a lot of herself.
