Got the junk mail out of the house from the week, cleaned my bag out (carry my book and crocheting etc in to work or wherever) and cleaned out my purse from receipts and got them all on Fetch.

I brought 2 boxes of green tea in and put them in our break room.
We have an electric kettle and an assortment of teas.
I have been adding extra teas that I have to the assortment.

I gave a cw the Christmas cards I had left over from the past 2 years.

Where my daughter's best friend works, they use to take wrapping paper in that they used and was left and then could pick out paper that was different, so kids wouldn't remember any. Not sure if they still do it or not. Nice way to get rid of the cards.

I get little notepads from charitable organizations all the time.
Last week, I had one sitting on my desk and a cw spotted it and said, "Oh, I love those! I use them all the time!"
I said, "It's yours."
I have since gone through my desk drawers and have found 10 of them!
I gave her all of them.

Lana- That's such a good idea! I'm all for sharing and swapping instead of purchasing more.

I have my box filled that sits in the laundry room and I told DH it's time to drop it off this week at the Humane Society thrift store ... it's stuff from my sis, my friend, and some things from around here. I also will drop off several crochet pet mats I made up.

This month's strategy (since we are doing some renovations) is not letting anything come back that lives on the floor. Like a basket on the floor. Or a box on the floor. Or a pile on the floor. If it has to go on the floor that means a cabinet has to be emptied somewhere. These usually come up when my drawers or cabinets get backed up. So I'm trying to channel this thought for November. (Fingers crossed I don't cave.) Have done 2 donation runs this week -- which I'm doing when it's raining and I'm not motivated. Just so it gets out the darn door.

Yesterday I got rid of:
3 holiday magazines from................. 2014! Yikes!
I also went through my alcohol. I am not a home drinker (not really a drinker at all)
but do keep some on hand for holidays and get togethers. Every Christmas Eve I make some kind of Christmas cocktail.
I had several bottles that were at least a couple of years old with not much in them.
Bye bye.

When I recently stayed at my sister's for her kitty, we went through her alcohol cabinet as she is like you @AnnieClaus and we tossed a lot of barely anything in bottles and very old (I mean really old) bottles not opened as they were gifted ... but she doesn't drink. We made lots of room for other stuff. I know the recycling bin looked like we partied or something! LOL

Dear cleaning lady came with her husband and son last night and took the stationary bike!

Otherwise, 2 t shirts, a rain parka, a vest and some unused decorations.

Might be more later as I am in that kind of mood.

Going through sacks of clothes we had outside. Finding items for donations, some to pitch and some for rags. Some fit and forgot I had them.

Cleaned fridge out and threw old stuff out.

Yesterday I pulled random stuff out of drawers to go through while watching football.
I got rid of:

* 5 playbills from the musicals I go to. I always bring the playbill home with the intention of reading through them. I do enjoy reading about the actors and the history of the play.
More often than not, they just end up in a drawer. Pulled them out, went through and tossed.
* 2 catalogs
* 3 local magazines
* 1 small desk calendar from.............. 2022! Not opened. SMH.
* I also found 3 little organizer plastic baskets for... what?! Who knows! I will take them to work and
see if some of the ladies there want them.
* 1 gospel CD set I got in a Christmas exchange a few years ago. I have never opened it. I saw at the used bookstore they have a CD section so I will take it there.

I also cleaned out 2 purses. If I switch purses (a rare occurrence), I generally put my wallet, car fob and that's about it to the purse I'm switching to which leaves the vacated purse filled with lipsticks, hand lotion and whatever else.
