Here is the Christmas stuff I parted with today.
Anything of good quality I will give to the 2 brothers I work with who have started a church.
The rest I took to Goodwill.

* Lighted garland-2 (to brothers)
* 100 pack of white lights (to brothers)
* Wooden snowflake with holly and berries attached (to brothers)
* Small wooden signs- 1 says Merry, the other Bright (to brothers)
* Red bead garland
* Gold bead garland
* Red and gold ribbons (to attach to Christmas tree)
* Teddy bear Christmas soap dispenser
* Small wreath with gold apples and pears
* Christmas potpourri little crock pot
* 3 tall Christmas coffee cups
* Christmas treat boxes (look like Chinese takeout containers)- package never opened
* Small, stained glass plastic ornaments
* Basket with cinnamon sticks and ribbon attached
* Set of 2 reindeer
* Foam craft ball
* Craft twine and picks
* Silver Christmas tree table decoration (like you would put mints in)
* Plastic Christmas tree container (to put candy or something in)
* Spool of Christmas ribbon- Not opened
* Several gift bags
* Christmas potholder
* 3 plastic ornament containers (to brothers)
* 3 plastic Christmas containers for cookies or baked goods

A variety of stuff got trashed. Used tissue paper, smooshed bows,
To/From label sheets.

I ended up with one empty tote.
Now I have 1 tote for general decorations and one tote for the Christmas tree.

Thanks, Jody! I'm going to work in my guest room.
It will be more organizing than purging.

Here is my list for the day:
* A picture frame (never used)
* A set of sheets (fitted, flat, pillow cases)- got the wrong size and never took it back so never used.
* Fitted sheet- fit terribly. Finally gave up and purchased one at Walmart (the terrible one was an Amazon purchase). Laundered it and bagged it so ready to donate.
* 4 nightgowns- old and I was so tired of them. I cut them up as rags to give to a cw.
I kept 1 for dusting.
* Pair of summer shoes- too small. Never wore them.
* 3 pieces of junky necklaces that came with dresses I bought.
* A digital weight scale
* 2 sets of small banker boxes- opened one pack and realized it wasn't what I was wanting, never opened the 2nd pack. A CW said she would like them.
* 4 Small organizing plastic baskets- CW wants.
* An old Throw blanket- CW said she could use for her dogs. This one hurt a little as it was one my dad gave me. It has been ratty for the last couple of years and for at least the last year it has been stuffed in a corner.
* Taste of Home mag- from November, 2024 (not too bad)

I had more in my guest room than I realized. It's amazing how much "stuff" can go in a space.
I will move it to the home office which is the worst room.
That way I have 1 bad room and a functional guest room.
Figured if guests come, all that stuff would go in the office anyways.
Then I have 1 room to work on.

Guess I know my 2026 project.
But I'm starting it............ NOW!
I feel pretty good about what I got done over the past 4 days.

BTW- The worst thing I ever did was get a newspaper subscription.
I find them in the oddest places. Mostly tucked in bags.

If you have animal shelters they can use the sheets and towels. Around here they use them. When my sister managed the shelter she said they would use them in moving animals (to other shelters or to their homes) at times and then at shelter.

Three containers without tops into the garbage.

Approximately 8 bags of clothes, home stuff and books along with 3 bags of DH's shoes for the VV pickup tomorrow.

Also a bag of dog toys for doggie day care.

One old broken doll, a microwave cleaning aid, a storage pot are gone into the donation pile. 2 big bottles of cleaning products (which I don't want) have gone to my shed. I will get rid of them later when DH is not around.

At work and passing stuff on to co-workers feels fun and freeing!

I brought in a box of Gingerbread tea.
Will add to the tea caddy in the break room.

Lana- When we cleaned out my parents home, we gave all the towels to the animal shelter.

Got another little paper pad- these little pads only have like 10 sheets in them.
It is going straight to my cw. Not even putting it in a drawer.

Brought a food donation to the Mets collection today so that is out of the house. Unfortunately the thank you was 20% off at the team store so there are now 3 more t-shirts and one dog costume in the house.

Cleaned the front room and got some trash out, things put into rooms they belong and have a little tike table and 2 chairs to either donate to church or put on market place. Allen has a small pile of things to sort on couch. Ain't doing to well so guess I will have to ask how he is coming and that will get him going! Normally.

Limbs picked up from the yard and added to the burn pile. Too windy yesterday to burn.

One old ceiling fan on the curb.

Two hangers and one pouch/purse thingy in the donation box in the laundry room.
