I missed my goal for 2022 by 2 books, but that's okay. I think I will keep the same goal of 25 books this year and strive to hit it once again. I'm off to a good start already! I will make more time for the things I love doing and not let work and fatigue get in the way. I will carry my Kindle with me everywhere I go, or a real book. :)

I set myself a goal of 10 books last year and reached that goal.
I feel that 10 is an achievable goal so will set that again in 2023.

DD gave me 7 books for Christmas so I am off to a good start.

I set my goal last year at 12 and came close. Because of all the "stuff" that I'll be dealing with this year (mom's health issues, sale of her TX place, sale of mer MI place, among other things), I'm going to stick with 12 books for 2023.

Currently reading
What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty
Fearless by Max Lucado [for my Bible study group]
What Next, Chicago? Notes of Pissed-Off Native Son, by Matt Rosenberg (he's a friend of a friend, self published book, and I was asked to read this and post a [positive] review on his page ... )

We were supposed to complete Fearless the week of Christmas, but Bible Study was postponed until after Christmas and then was cancelled. We should finish it by the end of January -- if we're lucky.

I was really optimistic but ending up dropping my goal of 52 down to 36 three days before the end of the year and then I finished up another one, ending up 37/36 for the year. I think I'll stick with 36 for 2023 - it's a good number, 3 a month, I should be able to manage that.

I haven't done a challenge in a year or two. I think the last time I took a book out of the library was before Covid so either early 2020 or 2019.. I'll try this year with a goal of 12 books. I've got a ton that I own but haven't read so those will be the books on my list.

I've started two books. Christmas in Pennsylvania will be read thoughout the year since it is the history of Christmas in Pennsylvania. There's a lot of meat to it. Living Fearless I started today. It is a short read.

3. Fracture - Book 5 - Eruption by Soward and Kraus - solar flares play havoc with geologic faults
4. The Real Planet of the Apes by David Begun - a boring book on Miocene Apes. I read a good 80% before I gave up.
