Renaming a URL link

Can someone explain how I can change the URL of my blog to just the name of my blog.

Does that make sense? Thanks.

I may be wrong, but I don't think that you can without starting a new blog with that name. I guess you could then copy everything over and repost it.

I have just clicked on all 3 of your blogs and the URL for each of them is http// blog name.blogspot.com at the top of the screen, but the link in your signature is just the name of the blog. I am wondering how just the name of your blog is in your post not the URL.

I hope that makes sense.

First question: do you OWN the URL you want to use? You have to register the domain name with a registrar before you can use it.

Okay, I think we both misunderstood what you wanted. If I am reading correctly, you just want to edit your signature on this site to show only the name of your Blog.

To do that click on User CP in the upper left corner and find the Edit Signature link and CLICK. When there, you will see your blog address. To get this to show only the name you must follow this format:

[url+http://INSERT YOUR BLOG ADDRESS][THEN INSERT THE NAME YOU WANT TO APPEAR IN THE SIGNATURE FOLLOWED BY [/url]

You must have all of the brackets and things above in those places. Just drop the capitalized typing and insert your specific info in those two places, but make sure to leave the brackets and other info as is.

Try this:

Do as Printersdevil said, go to edit signature link and click it. Open another window and go to your blog and copy the link exactly. Go back to the original window and type

name you want to call your blog.

That should do it, but you HAVE to have all the = signs and [ ] in the correct place, plus you need to paste in the link from your blog. include the http: part. I hope this helps.

If it doesn't, PM me and I'll try to do it for you...I think I can access that. We'll see!! LOL!
