Looks like several of you had a great day yesterday. Congrats to those of you done wrapping and baking! :applause:
:frown: I feel for those of you that ran into list troubles but glad it seems to have resolved itself fairly quickly.

Today's goals:
() Finish wrapping gifts that have arrived (still waiting on a few)
() Christmas Crackers (yes, this is a leftover item. I keep pushing it off for some reason)
( ::eek:rnament: ) Bake another batch of cookies Done! Two batches even.
() Do a clean sweep thru the first floor
() Start candy making with dipped pretzels

I'm sure there are other things that need doing today but my brain is still napping so I'll start with one of these until my noggin' wakes up, LOL!

Here is a recipe that I found for it. Hope this helps some.
Merry Christmas
Bambi

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1 (8oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 tub whipped topping, 32 ounces
1 package (4oz) vanilla instant pudding
1 package (4oz) chocolate instant pudding
3 cups cold milk, divided
1 square semisweet chocolate, shaved, or mini semisweet chocolate chips
PREPARATION:
Combine flour, butter and pecans and press into a 9x13x2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Cool in pan on rack.
Combine cream cheese and confectioners' sugar and spread over pecan mixture.

Spread half of the whipped topping over the cream cheese layer.
Mix package of vanilla pudding using 1-1/2 cups of milk. Spoon evenly over the whipped topping; spread until layer is even. Mix package of chocolate pudding using remaining 1-1/2 cups milk. Spread on top of vanilla pudding. Spread remaining whipped topping on top and sprinkle with shaved semisweet chocolate or mini chocolate chips.

Bambi,

Thank you for typing out that recipe. I hadn't been back to check.

The only thing I would change is the temp for cooking the base should be 325 and the time should be 15 min.

That recipe is just like what we called Robert Redford, but for the last several years, we've been trying to come up with a different name because Robert Redford just doesn't quite have the appeal he used to :frown: No one could agree on a new name, but yours is pretty good, santashelper!

I can't take credit for the name. I have never heard it called anything else. And in my family we were trying to come up with another name for when we had it with little ones around. We just ended up calling it the chocolatey dessert.

Mine is all made for tonight. All I have to do is shave some chocolate on top!

It is very good, but very rich and filling so I tend to only make it when I have to take something or it is requested.

Enjoy!!

You are welcome. I just knew that you were off doing something that I SHOULD be doing. LOL This is just like a recipe that I used to make in the early 90's but it was called better than sex dessert. And at times, it can live up to its name. ;)
Hugs,
Bambi
