I noticed i wrote in my planner to make some freezer meals for Labor Day weekend so I don't have to stop whatever I'm working on to cook and clean the kitchen. I will need to grocery shop if I'm going to do that.

Jampss- Deviled sausages- looks interesting.
Can you use whatever kind of sausages??
Such as a chicken sausage. Or a Brat?
Or- what kind have you used?

@AnnieClaus

I got the idea from @sweetpumkinpye as it's Australian, I believe. I searched Pinterest for the name and loosely followed the recipe.

I use a pound of Aldi's bulk breakfast sausage roll. LOL I make it like a thicker stew. This past time, I shredded sweet potato in it. The chuntney and and allspice is a yummy must for flavor. I was also using up a jar of Garam masala as I didn't have the coriander. I am very good at using "whatever" and sort of sticking to the recipe, but also not sticking to it. LOL

I used a can of Aldi fire roasted tomatoes and didn't worry about the tomato sauce addition.

We are in the first weeks of Spring so the goal is to use up the last of the "Winter" foods in the freezer before transitioning to warmer weather meals.

I have a head cold so my menu plans got put on the back burner.
I have: Chicken noodle soup, chicken and corn chowder, ramen, crackers, toast,
plain tea.
Haven't had much of an appetite.

Want to make a pot of chicken noodle soup and freeze it in smaller portions for times like this.
Would have come in handy on Monday when I really needed it.

Also have a recipe for "Italian Penacillan Soup."

sweetpumkinpye- I thought of you when I thought that I need to have stuff on hand.
Even for tummy troubles- some ginger ale and sprite.
Some simple things that we only get into when under the weather.

I still want to make packs for elderly people- in a little shoebox tote, a few cans of soup, some saltines,
some ramen packs and mini ginger ales or sodas.

I wonder if my women's group would help me put some together.
