I have let my "keep kitchen counters clean," habit slip a bit.

I looked at my kitchen as I was leaving for work yesterday and thought, "Uh, you need to take care of this tonight!"

So, it looks much better today.

I also sat last night and went through newspapers. Couple more to do tonight but glad to see them
dealt with and out of the house.

Two sleeveless tops in the donation box. They were donated to me and I just never reached for them all summer. So, out they go from my closet.

The donation box I am trying to fill up from my craft room is not filling up very fast. This means I am keeping too many things. I need to be ruthless but just in case in getting in the way.

I’m a just in case person too. Will try to get rid of somethings when I clean. I have some stuff from the auction lot I may get rid of. Was overwhelming going through that entire lot.

Usually with crafting items the just in case items get pushed aside for Oh look something new items. I am decluttering those old projects I have not done. If i haven’t either done it myself or hired someone to do it, as DGS baby clothes, Those went to a quilter who did a much faster job than I would have done. I would have fuss with it too much. DS and DGS both have one since I had so my items. DS looked at his and thought it was nice until he realized his quilt had items he had actually bought his son.

Ryan took a large TV to elevator. He thinks they can use it--have been wanting one. It was Jaymee's and the Wi-fi had quit so we had it in craft room in box. Was moved into bathroom when starting to clean craft room out so now out of the house and Jaymee might make alittle. Hope it works out!

DS, who is redoing his room ... slowly, got rid of A LOT of tee shirts. Yay and Amen! He had a box of his childhood favs. Cute but ... like Marie Kondo says, "Thank you item but now out you go!" He kept four only of those and he had barely worn ones that me, sis, grandma gave him over the years but ... either the material was weird, the sleeves were those shorty kind, or the graphic was so stiff that even the inside of the shirt was unbearable to wear. He also had three pullovers that he never worn so in the donation they went. He still has to decide on the Nerf guns, stuffed animal bin, and some books and toys.

Today in Teigan's room I threw away papers, some old makeup containers and skin care containers, and I went through a ton of markers and some pens and pitched the ones not working. She loves shells and has several plus my gma had several shells that I gave Teigan so I got them all to one area. Threw out the little girl polish and lip glosses. She has so much of the real stuff.

I went through all the hair accessories , putting them in baggies of their own, and will see what she wants to keep or not.

Hoping to do books tomorrow--that is a hard job for me! I love books!

Wow, you're doing great.

When DD and I went through everything in 2019 ... she even took the drawer of pens and markers and a piece of paper and checked to see if they worked. A lot got tossed!!! And we got it down to a manageable little stacked drawer size and labeled these three drawer stackable drawers ... like pens, pencils, glue, scissors, staples, etc ... all the office supplies.

Seems we get so many pens. I use to buy my own for work (banks were to short and I like blue ink) so we always had gobs and you get them places. In the past we have went through them and then Allen took a bunch of to the station for them to use.

Several bags went to the Vietnam Vets this morning including some of DH's stuff.

All those little scraps- no! Too fiddly for me. But I have plenty of scraps you can have, lol.
I have more fabric to go to the thrift shop.
