this is the best idea...from one prepper to another. I love the twelve days of Christmas...poem prepper style. I'm so going to have fun with my daughter using this.

This is a great idea and Emergency Prep will be heavier on my stocking list than usual this year as I took the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) classes along with some folks in my area that survived either Katrina or a major earthquake. Very eye-opening! We up in the Northwest are always bracing for a large quake.

I have a camping buddy and we have an ongoing competition about who is the most prepared in any given situation. Makes it fun!

If you google CERT supplies there are lots listed. Will come back and paste some good links when I have more time.

Duct tape is high on the list! :)

I think this is a great idea! Also pretty useful for the young men and women who are leaving home and living on their own (off to college).

We are not preppers but being without electricty for a week several times made me realized how critical many of these items are. I would add that a wind up flashlight and radio would be excellent additions.

Great ideas! I have a winter "emergency kit" for my car...including warm dry clothes for everyone, blankets, shovel, flashlight, flares, first aid kit, nonperishable snacks, etc., but not for my home (I know, shame on me!)

Maybe I'll make a preparedness stocking for myself this year!
