Surprise 50th Birthday Party

I'm throwing a surprise party for my sister. She will be turning 50 and I don't think she'd find the "Over the Hill" theme funny. Any help would be great!

How about her favourite era - 50s, 60s or 70s? Theme it and have as fancy dress too - with a surprise great outfit for sister too - plus lots of appropriate music.

One of the funniest invites for a birthday party was "celebrating her 25th anniversary of her 25th birthday" :flower: It was a fun birthday, NO black allowed!

Is there a vacation destination that she would like to visit? If so, you could serve foods that you would eat there, decorate with that theme, buy her gifts with the theme....
