Tapatan anyone

At my granddaughters scout meeting last night they played a game called tapatan. We'd never heard of it before but adults had as much fun as the kids with it.

We're thinking about making some of the games for gifts. We might make them out of clipboards, wood, cardstock could be made out of many different materials. What would you use to make the board?

maybe cardboard covered with cardstock, then transfer the game board to it with perm marker and finally, laminate it!
