When you have small children in the house, those fuzzy chenille stems cut into small pieces and bent into hooks make great and safer ornament hangers. Also, when my boys were little, I put stuffed snowmen dolls all over an 8' tree...cutest tree I've ever had!

CAthymac - I'm going to try this! It was so frustrating for my 4yo last year to only be able to put on ornaments that used ribbon! He's going to love this! TFS!

Love the plush idea too. That's what I've had my DD4 add the past few years to the bottom of the tree. I actually like all of Christmas plush just snuggled into different spots around the bottom!
