Mrs. Soup - I LOVE this thread! Thank you so much for taking care of it!!!!! And enjoy those precious hours while you are resting and taking pain pills! I know that you are "on duty" 24/7 the rest of the time. So a little time off - with surgery, what better reason for people to be seeing to your recovery? All too soon, you will be back to 24/7. My advice is to stretch this out for as many extra precious hours as you can!
I see this week ends with July 4th (Friday). Are we getting the weekend for a holiday break? I think that sounds delicious!!! Now to begin my list:
Fill car with gas (X)
Put new electronic thing on car that lets you go through "Easy Pass" lanes (X)
Pack car (X) (X) (X) (X)
Check Prescriptions (X)
Get cash for trip (X)
Water garden, mulch and pull vines (X) (X) (X)
Clean Kitchen (X)
Drive to Destination (X) (X) (X) (X) (X) (X) (X)
More chores added later. "Why all the car stuff?" you may ask. There is a trip to be taken. A vacation? No. This is a bizarre and strange trip, involving exhaustion, much humiliation. and many surprises - no good surprises. Just startling surprises. The good thing is - there will be friends at the end of each day, to laugh and drink wine with. You may know me well enough by now to know that I have to get through the worst of things, before they become a funny story that I can tell you. This particular story will be months in the making. I may never be able to tell it. But - there is no tragedy involved. Nobody will get hurt. All family members will remain well and happy and peaceful. All friends will be friendly and happy. (And, as with everything, it is all in God's hands anyway!) So - do not worry. I am not going off line. I am still looking forward to every day of "Christmas in July". You know that some things are better left unsaid on this board. I will still post every day (probably). Just don't ask questions about this journey. Humiliation and exhaustion now. Funny later. :grouphug:
