Funny you should post this. I just put the last of the turkey in the freezer today. Got any good turkey soup recipes?

My husband is a bit of a nut when it comes to leftovers. Day one things are cooked. Day two they can be in the fridge - or frozen. Day three eat NOW or toss. He even dates when a bottle is open! No one has ever had 'food issues' from my fridge yet (knock on wood LOL )

I tease him, but sure am glad he does keep an eye on it. My teenage sons would grow science experiments in there if we let them.

I have started dating bottles that are open in the refrig. Once when I went to clean the refrig I figured out I had open bottles from over two years ago. Now I date them on the cap so I can see it right out in the open. Makes me aware if something needs to be used instead of just sitting there getting old.

I cooked turkey breast dinner on Sunday before Thanksgiving and we ate all those leftovers. We went to DMILs for Thanksgiving dinner. Then I cooked a second turkey on Saturday and deboned and froze it in 2 cup portions in the freezer for cooking meals for the next two months.

Great idea sierra. I always miss the leftovers when I do not cook Thanksgiving dinner.

Turkey 2013

Time Again to remind everyone to get that turkey out of the refrig. Do not keep it. If you haven't eaten it by now it is time for it to go.

All the people I talked to today have frozen their turkey. One person forgot to do the gravy but will when she gets home.
