As I was getting ready to store a little retro aluminum tree that I found at the flea market this past season (it looked so cute at Christmas!) I thought...hey i could leave this out and make a Valentines Tree....NOW I just need to find those heart ornaments and such...LOL

Will post picture when done!!

That is a cute idea. I took out a string of lights that are just red. I don't know what I'll do with them yet but I want to decorate thehouse nice for Valentines Day because even though my family is coming up in Feb. we aren't going to celebrate out usual christmas. they are going to Disney World and can't afford to do it. I thought we could just do a Valentine thing instead.

I've thought about having a tree that I could just keep up and change the decorations on it for the season/holiday. Maybe I'll put some more thought into this. Can't wait to see the picture Ginger.:tree2:

I brought my red lights home from the office to decorate that new white tree I have. I picked up pink and red ornaments for 90% off at Michaels too.

I have been thinking about doing this as well. Now, I just have to find a small tabletop tree.

Gingerbug, what a cute idea. We do not "celebrate" the minor holiday here but I can certainly imagine how cute a valentines tree would be.

It's cute....very simple though...just the red and pink heart shaped ornaments and a bit of ribbon tied at the top.

Almost at the end of my rope
Some years ago, I spray-painted some small branches white and stuck them in floral foam in a silver Revere bowl. I covered the foam with spaghnum (sp.?) moss. Then I made little hearts from burgundy and pink moire fabrics and hung them on the branches with tiny ribbon of the same colors. It was quite pretty. Wonder what I did with those hearts...
